He's an incoming freshman and will need some work and at least 30lbs of muscle. That said, I think he'll have better lateral movement and quicker recovery than Edey along with a more advanced shot for his age. Painter did a really good job with Edey in teaching him proper positioning, so I expect Jacobsen to get a lot better with positioning and technique over time. If he can put on the strength, Jacobsen is the type of kid who with properly coached defensive technique will be really scary in my opinion because he has the ceiling for the rest.From my eye test His defense needs a lot of work,out of position a bit might be due to slow foot work then he’s over reliant on shot blocking to make up for that which is a recipe for cheap fouls.
