Yep, Funk is only 2 for 9 from 3 and the team only shooting 29% from 3. Texas is even worse from 3 only 1 for 13. But, the Horns only have 5 TO's.
Why couldn't he shoot like this in , oh I don't know, all 3 games against us?

The demise of PSU tonight was inevitable...unfortunately. They live by the three...and died by the three. The probability of shooting 40% from the arc every game over 10 games (including B1G tourney) is very small in spite of the quality of their shooters...which as a team is exceptional. They made 8 of 28 tonight which is one of their lowest shooting percentages from the arc this season. They needed to hit 2 more and had some good looks but failed. PSU is a different cat than the rest of the B1G and I, for one, love the way they play.
Give Texas some props for hitting shots and playing hard...and finding Disu in the paint all night. He answered their call and big shot after big shot from 8 to 12 ft. to keep PSU at bay. He was also the poster child for what Hawkins could/should have been doing to fill a hole on the offensive end for our Illini..Mayer too...even Shannon.

Northwestern has looked great but Cronin adjusted amazingly. Collins has yet to counter.
Purdue aside. Think BIG has showed out pretty good so far. A bunch of 7-10 seeds and have been competitive for the most part. PSU and NU giving 2 seeds Texas and UCLA, both trendy F4 picks, all they can handle.
Maybe a down year in that we didn’t have a ton of high seeds and F4 contenders, but still a bunch of solid, competitive teams who are tough outs.

Wasn't a leg injury but still a pretty bad ankle injury. I'm amazed he didn't want to be carted off the court.
NW was being offered the corner 3. A number of those misses were wide open shots. IMO they were good looks that should be taken. NWU did take some poor, challenged 3s as well. These were usually up top as the shot clock ran out.
