JMU isn't some stealth high metric team like some of the under seeded teams we've faced in the past. They're around #50 in the Massey Composite (avg of more than 50 ranking systems), and Vegas agrees since they were a 4-5pt underdog. How does a once ranked top 25 team with a 31-3 record go unranked? Tough draw for Wisconsin
Assuming UW doesn't come back, I just chalk this up to another example of huge variance in day to day performance in NCAA basketball. UW is still very likely the better team, and would still probably win about 65-70% of the time against JMU, but it looks like just not today.
