"Unfortunately, I'm out for tonight's game."

Sooo... maybe ONLY tonight's game???

That's about as good an update as we could hope for. Looks pretty swollen, which is hopefully the only reason they won't let him play.

I lost respect for Izzo when he started whining about the firing of Bruce Weber. Now he’s just a criminal thug to me. Lets not forget MSU gave Larry Nasser to the world, too.

I lost respect for him way before this. This just added on to it.

If he has a mask already, have to think there is a chance he plays Saturday

Think we should add a linebacker, say Jake Hansen, to the roster if we play MSU again. Put him on Henry to start the game. Doesn't really have to do anything - but just to see Izzo's face.

I remember how poorly the Flyin Illini played against Wisconsin after Kendall Gill got hurt. They seemed lost. Hope that is not the same tonight

Given what happened Tuesday, maybe there is something to the idea that BU's comment about the reporters not knowing $h-t was in reference to Boakye.

And I feel like a 4th string center is the lowest of low hanging fruit. It’s not like we are talking about suspending Garza. Not that I think Garza is a dirty player at all or has done anything remotely requiring suspension, just that we aren’t talking about a marquee player here.
So just because he is fourth string just ignore the kofi hit then the Ayo massacre. I guess that'll do it!

Izzo was whining to the refs after his enforcer got tossed. That’s all I’m gonna say about this because I’d prefer not to get banned lol

How long will he have to play with the mask? Bad time in the schedule to have something like that which can throw him off his rhythm.

Come play in the Big10 blue chip recruit. Watch 6-10 to 7 foot centers annihilate each other and be annihilated by smaller players with no fouls called and guards get called for touch fouls out top all night. Work your tail off to get into player of the year consideration only to allow a bottom feeder "blue blood" program to knock you out of a few games so they can pad their resume to have a slight shot at reaching the tournament. Best conference in the land! Joke.

I'm a little bitter.

I was wrong on what injury it was (I wasn't specifically told concussion I was told an injury would prevent him from playing in tonight's game). It sounds like a broken nose now.

Either way I think Tom Izzo has cemented himself as a jackoff.
Tom Izzo should be suspended from coaching the rest of the season big ten needs to send a message after all these are still just kids

Both plays were bad but let's not put this on the same level as Griffin last year. That was bush league plain and simple (and clearly malicious) and he went into Brad's permanent doghouse because of it. I'm sure we would all like to think Sissoko did that on purpose but I don't think so. I think he was playing like he was told to play which is very very very physical.

Keep in mind, he's a freshman that is still very raw. I find it hard to believe he meant to hurt Ayo but it's very clear he was told to be rough with us.
WRONG AND MALICIOUS

Not me. After tonight’s game, it wouldn’t surprise me if after an MSU BT tourney game the Illini have at least one suspended player.
The league is asking for trouble. If there are not consequence from them on the play, consequences will be doled out on the court next time IL meets MSU. At that point there would be no standing to suspend an IL player. I'm betting the holdup right now is the league trying to get Izzo to accept a two game against Sissoko. Izzo has the cajones to put the guy in tonight against OSU - he has two fouls in less than 5 minutes of play. He will likely be back in the second half and we will see how he puts his "skills" to use.

My move would be 6'7" OL, Julian Pearl from Danville.
Makes me long for Sergio McClain and Lucas Johnson.

LOL at Izzo's half hearted "apology" to "A O" to start his postgame presser after the Ohio St game. Dude sold his soul to the devil or has incriminating photos of someone in the league, I swear. Two top 5 wins in 3 days with a TON of help from the zebras.....smh.
Not trying to hear it.

Did he seriously mispronounce it again??
