I heard a rumor that Nagy took over play calling this week and that was the difference. Total bartalk, anyone able to confirm?

He's been calling plays the whole time. Always has his head in his Denny's menu like his mentor Andy Reid.

Though surely Reid is a more elite performer at an actual Denny's ;)

According to ESPN’s last power ranking, the Bears have 6 games left against opponents ranked 25th or worse - Jets, Bills, Lions x 2, Giants and 49ers - out of 32.

This 3-1 start means the Bears don’t actually have to beat another good team to go 9-7 on the year.

Beat a pretty meh Dolphins team in a couple weeks, and then I think you can legitimately start thinking playoffs.

49ers, Jets, and Bills have to be wins. Not sure on the Giants and Lions. I think those 2 are more of a tossup game than the record indicates. Obviously injuries will play a big part, let’s stay healthy and beat the Dolphins.

Kinda sucks to have a bye week immediately following the performance of the season thus far.

Hopefully Miami doesn’t figure it out and we forget how to play football over the weekend.

Not Bears related, but Josh Gordon just caught his first TD pass with the Patriots and as they cut away to commercial they played Nuthin But a G Thang.

Well played Fox producers.

Was thinking the same. Or maybe it’s a perfect time for Nagy to fine tune this thing now that he has a better understanding of what we can/cannot do.

Road games are always tough, even against the weakest opponents (Cardinals anyone?). That means Dolphins, 49ers and Giants games are far from gimmes, and I would expect them to drop one of those three (at least). Plus the Lions will be tough at home on Thanksgiving.

On the flip side, this Bears team should be favored at home against the Packers and Vikings. I'm also looking at the home game against the Pats in two weeks as a game they can definitely win, especially since the Patriots play the Chiefs in prime time the week prior. NFL is so unpredictable; I think the Bears can get to 9-10 wins if they stay healthy, but have no clue on what that route would look like.

Second half game plan must have been to test Miami's secondary on deep balls. And how about that crowd, sounds like a Bears' home game!

The Bears have really let the Dolphins off the hook. Horrible int. by Trubiskey with a chance to go up 28-13 along with Howard's fumble at the one before halftime. Bears defense is gassed too.
