Pours one out for Andrew Shaw, a team guy who gave it his all:
Didn't have much to do with hockey, but that's easily one of my favorite Shaw moments.
Excellent career for a guy who was picked in the 5th round after he was passed up in the draft twice. Absolute warriorDidn't have much to do with hockey, but that's easily one of my favorite Shaw moments.
Seems like a great kid. (Not such a kid anymore I guess). Hope he has no long lasting health issues. Loved watching him play.Excellent career for a guy who was picked in the 5th round after he was passed up in the draft twice. Absolute warrior

12th best odds - Seattle gets 3rd or 4th best odds, I believeFlames did us a major solid, we're picking 11th now. Don't think we need a goalie and don't believe in using a first to take one. That said, gonna defer to the scouting department here. Hoping for Johnson or Lysell, but I reserve the right to change my mind, lol.
Yotes' 1st is forfeited (Chayka masterstroke!). Hence 11th OA pick.12th best odds - Seattle gets 3rd or 4th best odds, I believe
Ah yes, you are correct. Now that Arizona is in the Central, I'm not mad at them having to forfeit picksYotes' 1st is forfeited (Chayka masterstroke!). Hence 11th OA pick.
If I could like this a million times, I would.
Bowman got a good return for him, especially while retaining no salaryHawks' legend Duncan Keith traded to the Oil today (so he can be closer to his son). 1st ballot HoF-er, for sure.

Sentimentality wise, 100%. That said, this was a great trade for the Hawks. $5.5M cap hit for 2 years gone. Poof! That's flipping huge. And they aren't going to be a contender this season and probably next too.it’s gonna be like watching Jordan playing in a Wizards jersey
not good . sad day imo.

11th OA and Beaudin for Seth Jones (contingent on an extension): who says no?
Probably, but Jones is gonna walk (after the season). Point is, they aren't gonna get full price. Hawks can add a forward prospect (not Reichel). Someone like Kurashev or Suter (the latter would hurt).Columbus would want more than that

I don't think that's a hot take at all. Definitely a linchpin. The linchpin? Don't know, but he's in the conversation.I'd be curious to get the take of 'Hawks fans on here to this:
