Absolutely. And 1B when needed, even despite Vogelbach's limited defensive abilities. First base has been an atrocity for NYY this season.
I don't think it makes much sense at all for the Yankees. At least not for Andrew Miller. They'd have to get a bunch more than just him.
I think the consensus is that Vogelbach would be the centerpiece of a larger prospect package. Vogelbach as a part of a package makes infinitely more sense for the value of both Miller and Chapman than does Schwarber by his lonesome.
If the Yankees don't bite, Theo & company will move onto the next one. Simply put, 2.5 years of 31-year-old Andrew Miller is not worth 6 years of prime Kyle Schwarber (even coming off major knee injury).
Bullpen arms are fickle and easily replaceable; 23-year-old bats with the pop Schwarber has are not.
