I'm hoping that Joe shuffles the batting order just a bit. Facing Hill, I'd like to see Soler batting 5th and Russel moved down to 8th, between the catcher and pitcher.

I agree that Soler should certainly be starting tonight, especially given that RF/LF at Dodger Stadium isn't particularly treacherous like AT&T was. His bat could be a game changer tonight. I want to keep Russell in there for his defense and agree he should move down with Baez moving up.

Prediction:
1. Fowler, CF
2. Bryant, 3B
3. Rizzo, 1B
4. Soler, RF
5. Zobrist, LF
6. Baez, 2B
7. Russell, SS
8. Ross, C
9. Arrieta, P

Cubs were actually the second best team in the NL versus left-handed pitching this year. The Dodgers just have a lot of them, both pitchers and hitters.

Really looking forward to seeing Arrieta pitch tonight.

Let's hope they get on top of Urias early then! For tonight, let's crush Hill. :D

Besides the game he started and won for us in the wild card playoff game last year, this is the biggest game of his career . He needs another 11K, 0BB outing for us tonite like he did that game.

I feel pretty good about it.

I hope he returns to that form but I have a feeling he is going to give up at least 3. Hopefully our offense shows up tonight and gets on Hill early.

Soler has absolutely no idea what he's doing out there. His bat isn't Schwarber level where you can live with the mistakes in trade for a big bat.

Well...there are the three runs. Guys, I don't want to be chicken little but I'm starting to think we went cold right at the end of the season kind of like right before the ASB. Hopefully we pull out of it but I'm starting to wonder if this series might end in LA.

Offense is just not there for like 1/3 of our lineup.

We are cold and look confused. This is just so frustrating and I don't think this will turn around, but Cubs please prove me wrong.

Tonight stunk. Tomorrow is a new day.

I'm an eternal optimist and I didn't watch 169 games to lose hope now.

Give 'em hell, Lackey.

Surprisingly the Cubs looked like kind of a dead team tonight. Didn't look sharp in any phases of the game. I still have faith in them but it needs to turn around tomorrow or its over. The bad sign is they just have so many guys who look like they don't have a chance to even make decent contact let alone get on base. With last year's postseason included the sample size on Rizzo is getting pretty large as far as him being bad in the playoffs. I'm really not sure what moves Maddon can make other than starting Contreras and Almora.

I knew it was a red flag that during the Giants series, most of our runs seemed to come from the pitchers and late game heroics. Neither of those were going to be consistent. I'm getting a gut feeling that the Dodgers will end it in 5 with Kershaw shutting us down again on Thursday. Hope I'm wrong, I know this team is capable of much better.

Slumps happen and sometimes they happen at bad times. Let's hope ours ends tonight.

As bad as the Cubs bats have been, a win tonight and all the momentum is right back with them and the Dodgers will be looking at game 5 as a near do or die.

I am strangely confident about tonight. My thought before Game 3 was that it would be very unlikely to go 0-2 in the first two games in LA and I still believe that. Tonight's winner takes the series.

I live in DC, watch the nationals regularly and loosely follow the Cubs. I dont know what happened to you guys last night I think the Dodgers are truly a mediocre ball club getting by on smoke, mirrors and grit. Cubs in 6.

Rizzo is 2 for 30 in the playoffs.
Zobrist, 4 for 26
Russell, 1 for 24
Soler, 0 for 7
Fowler, 5 for 28
Heyward, 2 for 19
Montero, 1 for 8
Ross, 1 for 9
Coghlan, 0 for 4
Almora, 0 for 5

That's 10 guys combining to hit 16/160 for the playoffs - .100!!!!

Bryant, Baez and Contreras are the only guys hitting right now.

It's hard to single out any one guy when so many are underperforming, but Russell looks the most lost of the lost right now. Might be a good time to give him a day off.

Personally, I think Contreras needs to be in the lineup, especially against all the left handed pitchers the Dodgers keep throwing out there. Play him in left when Arrieta and Lester are pitching.
