I’d be surprised if Beard considers the possibility that he could fail.Bad move, coaches die at UT. Beard should see that.

Oh, he can be, for a while. Penders had a long, successful tenure there. Barnes achieved great things. It seems a particularly volatile place recently. They used not to care a lot about hoops relative to football. He showed up at Texas Tech and instantly took them to an elite 8 and the title game.
Why would he not think he can be successful at one of the easiest schools to recruit to in the nation.
It seems....Clearinghouse as in managing eligibility issues??
any pain for a loosier's fan is a great day for me.....just as is any pain for a misery fan.....The IU press conference was hard to watch. Painful if you are an IU fan. Something is not right in that whole ordeal.
Not if you like to have water...Austin is a hell of a lot nicer than Champaign lol
As far as basketball being an afterthought, we are clearly a basketball crazy school. And Underwood is always touting playing in front of packed houses every night, so I do think that’s a draw for him.Not if you like to have water...
Also, 100F for a month in the summer sucks.
Also, their traffic REALLY sucks. I-35, 183, 360, mopac, 620, 290, it all sucks.
Also, housing prices are stupid.
Also, the failure of the recent electric grid.
Also, basketball is an afterthought.
I agree TC. I tried to watch it but kept nodding off. He might turn out to be an ok coach but he definitely did not win the press conference. The IU press conference was hard to watch. Painful if you are an IU fan. Something is not right in that whole ordeal.
Their suffering is like sweet, sweet candy.any pain for a loosier's fan is a great day for me.....just as is any pain for a misery fan.....
That would be a lot of cooks in the candystripe kitchen with Woodson, Matta and Brown...Apparently Woodson might bring 80 year old Larry Brown to IU? Bizarre.
Except add age to both guys and they are not entering a ready made squad. Does anyone else think it is hilarious that Indiana boosters gave around $20 million total on this fiasco?Sounds like a Howard and Martelli copy...
Only on an Illini message board can people argue that Champaign, IL is better than Austin, TX.
My daughter does. But then again, she lives in Muscatine, IA. She's also lived in Clinton, IA, Stevens Point, WI and Chicago. So I guess I'd long for Chambana too.I’m not gonna lie sometimes I long for Champaign.
No seriously, I do.
As in bag man I thinkClearinghouse as in managing eligibility issues??

My lord, have they contacted Branch McCracken yet?Apparently Woodson might bring 80 year old Larry Brown to IU? Bizarre.

Man, my IU buddy is DRINKING the kool aid (and maybe something else). He is all-in. Granted, I must admit, with Matta, this is about as good as IU could get in their current state.I agree TC. I tried to watch it but kept nodding off. He might turn out to be an ok coach but he definitely did not win the press conference.
I lived in both places. I’m just NOT a fan of Austin, and I never saw the draw for people (and, my snowmobile never runs).Only on an Illini message board can people argue that Champaign, IL is better than Austin, TX.
I still don't get it, I think Matta applied for the job and didn't pass the physical, but he can be an assistant something?Man, my IU buddy is DRINKING the kool aid (and maybe something else). Woodsen brings 20 years of NBA coaching chops, obviously Matta brings the college side. He will have a heckuva staff behind him.
I think he'll need 2 years of rebuilding. He'll hit the portal hard. Get the 3-point snipers to put around TJD (I think he stays).
By being the "associate athletic director for men’s basketball administration" he can do his thing off the court, so I guess he wouldn't have to take the same physical.I still don't get it, I think Matta applied for the job and didn't pass the physical, but he can be an assistant something?
