Okay but, that isn't what was said. It was pointed out that money was hurting because of seats not being filled rather than tickets bought.
What money am I complaining about? When people actually show up with the tickets it increases revenue (parking, concessions, sales in merch). Not to mention game day atmosphere is massive for recruiting. The lack of fans has hurt the DIA is recent years. Season ticket packages have decreased about 20% in the last 3 seasons according to JW in june.
If he can beat Iowa I will announce him King of the Illini! At least until the next game. All I want for Christmas is a win over Iowa and world peace of course.

Whenever we get a new HC, whether it's this year or next year, I just want him to say in the press conference. "This program is awful, I'm here to make it not suck so bad."

It will not get any better than this under Lovie - this year we have a senior laden team, with not a whole lot of underclass talent and a really weak recruiting class coming in. There is zero reason to keep him.
Lovie era is over.
Need someone young to breathe some life into the program. There's not much to get excited about with Lovie. They'll win games with turnovers when teams make mistakes but if they play a team that doesn't beat themselves, they lose. Lovieball isn't fun.

I believe the buyout this season is $2 million and it drops to $1 million next year. It sounds like a lot of money but that's an incredibly low buyout compared to most coaches.
How does Indiana, with a much smaller in state recruiting base and competition for that talent coming from Notre Dame and Purdue, rise to become a power house Big Ten football team second only to OSU? Meanwhile, the Illini staff could screw up a one cart funeral in Broken Stump, Nevada. Time to clean house. Indiana thought outside the box and hired their winningest high school coach to run the program, and his results speak for themselves. Not saying we need to copy this model, but clearly what we have been doing for the past several decades with coaching staff hires is the definition of frustration.

I get the frustration but Indiana is not a power house lol.
Powerhouse isn't the right word. But they did go into Camp Randall yesterday with their backup quarterback and beat Wisconsin, and held then to 6 points to boot.
