Strange bedfellows. I have also been for the Cardinals in a few of their series. Strange days indeed.Never thought we’d find ourselves rooting for the Brewers at this point in the season, but here we are

ILL !!!!!!!!!!!!!I don't know what caused the 1969 collapse but it was epic-bad. Cubs did have a very good team - Santo, Williams, Banks, Beckert, Kessinger, Jenkins, Holtzman, etc.
Arguably the Mets were the worst of the four teams that made the playoffs that year (Braves, Orioles, Twins). Baseball is not fair sometimes.
The Phillies had a major collapse in 1964, IIRC.

I have a feeling that the Cubs losing all tie breakers will be a factor.
just to say the 2023 Cubs made the playoffs mean NOTHING if they use the back door to get in , or get swept out in the first seriesFor what it’s worth, the Cubs do have tie breakers against both the Giants and Padres. One Cubs win or one loss for either team eliminates them from being able to catch the Cubs. They play each other tonight.
And the D-Backs’ loss today opens the door to the #2 slot a crack.

anything can happen . I want them to have the chance , but I’m a bit skeptical of this team & manager right now
I know they have the tiebreaker with them but they have absolutely no chance. For what it’s worth, the Cubs do have tie breakers against both the Giants and Padres. One Cubs win or one loss for either team eliminates them from being able to catch the Cubs. They play each other tonight.

I'd rather face milwaukee in the wild card round. I can see the phillies lineup torching our pitching
As much as I want to see the White Sox lose 100 games, I hope they don't. Worst case scenario is they get swept by Dbacks and sweep the Padres.Agreed, but right now I just care about making the playoffs. Root for the Cubs, root against the Dbacks, Marlins, and Reds.
I had a bad feeling about it as I saw them running towards each otherWell, that's not good.
