it’s big business. I don’t feel bad for anyone making $700,00 per year .

Leaving an obviously underperforming person in place is bad management. It’s very corrosive to morale. Sometimes you need to pull the bandage off quickly. It’s not easy or painless, but it’s the right thing to do once multiple egregious failures occur (e.g. 9 players on the field). Such gross incompetence was almost akin to public insubordination. At that point, failure to act decisively would reflect terribly on Bret. Great leaders must make tough decisions like this.
