So Newcastle ended up stealing a point from Liverpool today with a goal in 2nd half stoppage time to tie it (was actually 2nd goal that Liverpool allowed in stoppage time but 1st was disallowed on handball). That led to this tweet from Newcastle's twitter page:

Manchester City on cusp of clinching Premier League title after 0:2 win over Crystal Palace. If Manchester United lose at home to Liverpool tomorrow, then City will clinch it.

Chelsea and both Manchester teams are said to be interested, but Levy is unlikely to allow him to go to another PL team. Like Modric and Bale before him, he'll likely end up in Spain (or France) if he really is set on leaving.

West Ham defeated West Brom, Spurs lost to Aston Villa, and Everton defeated Wolves today. West Ham just needs a point on Sunday vs. Southampton to clinch European football for next season. The 7th and final spot for European football will come down to who has the better result between Everton (at Manchester City) and Spurs (at Leicester City).

arsenal can still qualify with a win plus everton/tottenham loss. leicester should be motivated to win against tottenham to keep their UCL chances alive. everton faces man city which is always tough unless the citizens are just on cruise control. brighton will definitely be tough to beat; solid defence and have pulled off a few big wins late in the season: liverpool & tottenham (man city too but they were down to 10 men pretty early). with fans back in the stadiums, hopefully the home supporters will motivate their teams to wins!

I really enjoyed the "roar of the crowd" aspect yesterday at Turf Moor and look forward to a lively time at Anfield on Sunday. LFC's comeback effort has them earning points despite not doing well at capitalizing on opportunities. We're hoping that the fans in the stands can yet again be a positive influence in a meaningful game and help the Reds end a trying season on a high note.
