Yeah, I'm thinking 21-22 wins going into the BTT. Hopefully enough of those are quality wins and then we win a game or two in the BTT to be pretty assured of a reasonable Tourney seed. Should be fun. :)

23-10 season end....seems pretty doable this year.:chief:

I hear BU might use Smith in the pinch post position because he's such a matchup nightmare.

Don't be surprised to see anybody there. BU has put 5'10 pgs to 6'8 300lb guys to everyone else in between there.

My personal non-traditional big favorite for that spot is kipper.

What a saga. I've got to check out the WKU boards tomorrow.

Mitchell Robinson has decided to bypass college to begin training for the NBA Draft, he tells Scout | Story: http://scout.com/college/basketball...binson-will-bypass-college-begin-tr-107602754

Looks like he doesn't need to go to college. Not saying it's the best path for him, but at 7 ft, and very talented, no reason for him to play college if he doesn't want to.

Be that as it may, the back-and-forth was ridiculous and is a bad look.

Poor WKU fans. We know a thing or two about being shell-shocked, so I feel for them.

I don't.

They hired Stansbury. They knew what they were getting. The guy is absolute slime when it comes to the rules, so this couldn't have happened to a more deserving fella.

The fans did not hire Stansbury. The AD did.

I don't feel for Stansbury at all. Just the fans, who asked for none of this.

Agreed, can't wait to see what Kipper can do in this offense. Who do you think fits better at that spot between Finke and Black? Both can hit the mid range J, Finke probably better handles and passing, Black of course with the bulldog ability to get to the rim.

What are the most important traits for this position? Or is it mainly based on mismatches?

Good to hear DaMonte being cleared. He shouldn't be rushed back they have depth at Pg/Sg this year. DaMonte was looking very good before the injury.

1) I think they are evenly good fits for different reasons. Finke has the passing/shooting advantage that will allow for more perimeter based counters and creativity out of that spot. Leron brings the toughness for the screens, the elbow j, and the closer to the basket/alley oop counters. I think what really separates him is the rebounding knack he has. He will be in prime offensive rebound position a lot and I think he will take advantage.

2) For the base guy you're gonna most play at the position, you probably want a combo of Finke/Black (doesn't everybody?). A guy who can play inside outside with guard skills when necessary and toughness to set screens and rebound. That's actually why I'm so excited to see kipper there, because I think he does bring traits of both with plus athleticism. BU said in the clinic that who they put there and what they do is based on how the other team guards the cuts and that guy at certain parts of the offense. He will then get the right guy in there for the right counter based on how the defense is playing.

They both bring different skill sets, as you say. I don't think you can replace Black's rebounding though, and he's got a perimeter shot. We'll need them both though --not much in the way of experienced bigs.

Really looking forward to seeing how this team plays.

I agree the elbow is less concerning than anything leg related, but I am still worried. Mostly because of what I expect will be a serious depth problem in the post.

I would imagine he would be able to run still, so his conditioning shouldn't be far off.

Just want to see him average 8-9 rebs/game, i think he has the drive and aggression to do so.
