Skyy- 6'3

RJ- 6'5

Goode- 6'7

Hawkins- 6'10

Kofi- 7'0

Regardless of what happens with transfers this is a starting lineup that can win the B10 on its own.

Is Skyy real 6’3” or close? Appears shorter but haven’t seen him next to known heights.

Wouldn't be surprised if Ty cracks the starting lineup nor if @GallopingGhost is spot on about his upside, but I think Goode is getting a bit overlooked in these projections. He played more minutes than RJ this year after all, and by a substantial margin, which has to mean something. He's also a great 5th starter for providing spacing around Kofi.
Agreed. I think we will even see Goode play some at the 4. He seems to embrace the scrum.

hopefully we can get a hillside shot of him next to Payne before Omar heads out of town
Was hoping for a ramp so we could anticipate a mathematical calculation based on angle, drinking capacity, perspective angle, hair length, shoe size etc. probably needs to be a separate thread.

Clark, TSJ, RJ, Rodgers, Kofi. Flyin Illini 2.0, but with an All-American center. We would really get after people with that group.

Can you see staff risking another year of scholarship on a guy who hasn't been able to play?
Definitely a tough decision. Assuming he has, or will have, a degree at the end of this semester I would think it makes it an easier decision.

Silly question, but is Hutch coming back? I know it seems like he was never here but I recall hearing he was the most athletic player on the team when he first transferred. Is he done with us? Done with basketball? Or is he on scholly next year?
The expectation seems to be that Hutch and Grand are both moving on.

Right now (assuming Kofi is back) you can count on 4 starters being penciled in (with a great bench)
PG: Skyy
SG: ?
SF: RJ
PF: Coleman
C: Kofi
I think it will take some games to shake it up. Let's say TSJ comes through and he/RJ fill the SF/SG or PF/SF holes on the open day. Then, who will you play more between Coleman, Goode, and Podz (if they are still around)? I suppose Coleman has a built-in advantage but a lot will depend on defense, too. I feel like Underwood's approach is to play more senior/higher star player first and then make adjustment. If we add TSJ AND another transfer guard, somebody will be worried about his minutes.

TyTy had posted a photo of the two of them standing next to each other awhile back. If TyTy is 6'3", then Skyy is probably an inch or so shorter.

RJ is about the same or taller than Goode if I'm not mistaken at around 6'7 / 6'8.
This was at the beginning of the season, so RJ could’ve grown since this picture, but that is a decent difference if you ask me…

If he has Illini at #20 without Kofi, I’d say he still loves Illini. I wouldn’t have them that high without Kofi and where their roster sits right at this moment.
Let me clarify: I think that's a pretty fair assessment without Kofi and with Skyy. But this is Andy Katz we're talking about. I would not necessarily call his assessments of us all last season as fair. He assessed us on potential, not actual performance. I think I am just sad he decided to be objective again, haha.

RJ appears more athletic

Goode appears to be a better pure shooter

Glad to have them both on the team.

Future so bright - gotta wear shades
