Im pretty sure it is before. There is a new one on youtube post injury. His shot is still smooth as butter and he plays with great pace and fluidity. Looks great to me 6 months after injury. Super excited to see him suit up for the O&B!

Was it his right knee he tore? Looks to be very aware of that leg to me in those highlights.

T rank wouldn't take injuries, suspension, and illnesses into account. Therefore, tough to say.
I meant overall, not just for Illini. So much credence is given to Torvik and KenPom, I’m just curious if they really have any more predictive value than preseason polls or you or me providing our own ranking. I realize the various offensive and defensive ratings/rankings have value, I’m just curious if their values are actually equal to what fans seem to give them.

Maybe not explosive yet, but great court vision and leadership with some pretty, pretty good assists as well as an outside shot and midrange shot. Might make us forget about and not miss Belo’s passes very quickly…

Skyy +2” > Plummer
TSJ +3” > Trent
RJ. +4” > DMW
Hawk +4” > Grandison
We will be a little longer next year.
I'm pretty sure TSJ is at least 4" taller than Trent. At least.

TyTy Washington, not Ty Rodgers. The pic was taken in the fall when Skyy was visiting Kentucky.
I'm thinking the picture is Ty Rodgers and Skyy around 7-8 grade as they had played amongst each other at that time in their lives.

I'm guessing after. He had surgery around July 2021 and the bottom of the screen talked about Antonio Brown walking off the field. Which was January 2, 2022

I sort’ve agree with Dani Sweeney. I am all for transfers if they fill a hole in our lineup.
But it seems like bringing in guards on top of the guards we recruited, shows limited faith in the guys you brought in…

Right now we have four guards for next season, three FR and a Soph who hasn’t played much. We need another guard.

I agree that we do have these guys all bunched up in classes. So I lean towards bringing in an upper class guy. Which is why Shannon would be great.

Yes. The video I posted is a day old. The video in Joel Goodson post was before ACL I think but not positive. Sorry for the confusion.

Skyy Clark commits thread post #101....Ty Rodgers
Lol. I said TyTy, not Ty. Here's the picture I was referencing. Posted back in October.

When do the recruits and transfers get to campus? When do summer workouts begin? When do practices begin? When is the first exhibition game? Can't wait to hoist this leviathan on the tracks, fire up the boilers and start building a head of steam! When this juggernaut starts rolling into the 22-23 season, I pity each team that awaits at each station along the journey.
Assuming Kofi returns, of course.

If Kofi comes back next year due to NIL, is it insane to believe he wouldn't do so his optional Covid year. Part of me would hate to see it for his sake, but he'd set a record for double doubles that could never be broken. Four time All-American? Rest of the B1G would probably chip in to pay an NBA team to draft him to make sure he is gone.
At that point, he would have already fulfilled his four-year commitment and earned a degree, and at some point you start to really hurt pro prospects by staying around any longer. I do think he has a chance to play his way into a draftable territory, possibly even first round, even with a Senior year. The main thing that he really needs to work on is Defense. Right now, he's a good low post defender and banger, but that is a dying set in the NBA. If he can become more passable as a guy who can switch in pick and roll defense (he'll never be elite just due to attributes like foot speed, but he can improve and do it on an NBA level I think) and relatedly and more importantly, become a rim protector, improving timing and instincts when he slides over and goes to contest shots in the paint. I think that's a pretty glaring weak spot (not to say he's "bad", he's good at the college level, just not good enough for NBA standards). For our sake, if he could be more Chet Holmgren and control the placement on his blocks to lead to change of possession rather than swatting them into the fourth row, that would be nice as well. On offense, I don't think the outside shot is going to happen, but he can continue to improve as a passer out of double teams, that would improve his chances a lot as well.

He’s staying because his nba pro prospects aren’t panning out. If they don’t look good again after next year, he needs to weigh a 5th year at Illinois with NIL money which is said to already be $1M+ and would likely only go up by then, VERSUS what he could command overseas professionally, which depending on the league and team, might not stack up to what he’s getting here.
