I also think there is a very good chance that we had that printed on a blank shirt we got from Nike. A number of years back I got to get a tour of the football equipment room, and they gave me a team-issued t-shirt. It was awesome and I asked why it wasn't available elsewhere and I was told that they got the blank shirt from Nike and had it shipped out to have the graphics printed on it. The fact that there is a huge TM logo on it when that never appears on Nike-produced product really makes me think that the logo came from a university template file and was sent to a printing company. Who misspelled basketball? No idea.

Once again, Nike isn't perfect. But I'll say it this way: I'd rather be an economy passenger on a Boeing 777 than a first-class passenger on a sinking ship.

This is true, which is a shame because they look great:

------7LL7NO7S rebrand--------
2014-15: 1 win - 5 losses
2015-16: 3 wins - 6 losses
2016-17: 0 wins - 4 losses
2017-18: 0 wins - 8 losses
-----Zigzag removed from side-----
2018-19: 1 win - 6 losses
2019-20: 1 win - 5 losses
2020-21: 0 wins - 2 losses
2021-22: 0 games

Overall: 6-36

I tallied this record based on the Illinois schedule page and the picture that they showed along with the recap.
My memory is pretty shot, but aren't the blues usually worn at away games which are usually harder to win. I can't remember if they were only worn at away games or not. Also in those years 2014 - 2017 (the dark years) and then through the 2nd year of BU's reign wins were hard to come by in whatever uniform they wore. In other words I like the blues, too, and maybe if Illinois wore them for home games maybe they could get that monkey off their back.

I'm pretty sure the team decides what they want to wear within the home/away guidelines?

Maybe but just look at 2019-20. We only lost 10 games out of 31 that season. The six games we wore blues accounted for half our losses. Yikes!

Superstition is common amongst athletes and a big part of the game is mental. Do I think there's some curse? Of course not. Do I think the idea of a curse could affect the players in some subconcious way? I think it's possible. So why chance it?

Do the current players even know there’s an idea of a curse on the blues or is it just fan fodder?

I don't think being superstitious is part of the culture now... and agree that the players probably don't know or care....

Would be surprised to see the blues much, if at all. DIA has a lot of stuff going to build an identity based on orange ( hail to the orange campaign, #HTTO hashtags etc.).
I get that, but it doesn't mean we have to lose our blue stuff. That would be a terrible mistake. Something I liked about the Lovie fb unis was the focus on orange & blue (although white outlines, accents would have been nice). I also think we use white too much, it should be minimized as much as possible to accents, outlines and the required away jersey only. Take Michigan for example, although they build and promote an identity around blue, their maize yellow is always prominent.
