Not bad, but I think I prefer going a bit more classic either along this simple route (with changes to the shorts):I think those are slightly more recent blues and we’d actually roll with these (which the ‘05 boys didn’t wear ONCE!):
Bardo looking jacked in that pic. Still amazes me that those Illini squads were huge at guard, but small at center. Im in love with the style, but I want it to be orange. Orange all day every day for me!Not bad, but I think I prefer going a bit more classic either along this simple route (with changes to the shorts):

Or, so that our blues aren't the same as our orange, this version (again, shrinking/removing the white border on the shorts):

I love those old Illinois jerseys with the scrunched-up but elongated lettering. Was a thing for many decades.

I liked them, but always thought the black panel on the side was a little oddI don't mind the throwback blues....but these are the best blues we've ever witnessed here.
By a country mile.
Ok ok. Now here me out.
Blackout Jerseys.
Picture a scheme like this

Names and numbers would also look like the I.
Add some more orange trim and the shorts have a nice thick dark blue stripe on the sides with orange trim.
I'm guessing y'all would hate that haha

Then again, any Illini jersey looks spiffy when sported by Mr. Frank Williams…I don't mind the throwback blues....but these are the best blues we've ever witnessed here.

Looks like Deon to me.....Bardo looking jacked in that pic. Still amazes me that those Illini squads were huge at guard, but small at center. Im in love with the style, but I want it to be orange. Orange all day every day for me!
This....please, please

This is kind of where I'm at. There are blues I'm ok with. But I'd take most of our orange or whites over even the best of our blues. I'd just add the early-to-mid 2000s oranges and whites to your rotation, but that's probably mostly my own personal nostalgia at play.I don't really care for any blue uniform they've ever had. We should have 4 sets, orange and white of both the Fighting Illini Throwbacks and orange and the script Illinois.
It is a bit weird that blue is a foundational color for football, and I don't need it at all in basketball, but it is what it is.
Top 2 and it ain’t close:
Certainly doesn't look like we'll see the blues very often, if at all this season.
Throw script Illinois or Illini on the football helmets... Boom, cohesiveness. The script whites don't really fit our branding standards and hearken back to a mostly unknown, unloved era of the program, but they just look so damn good.
I'm a little more skeptical than my stalwart ally in these threads @mattcoldagelli that it could be the basis of our whole athletic department brand, but let's keep wearing those basketball jerseys forever.
