I can think of two completely legitimate reasons.
1) The United Center had December Saturday/Sunday conflicts with the Blackhawks and/or concerts. (Bulls conflicts wouldn't matter, as the UC game has often been an early Saturday game on the same day as a Bulls game that night.)
2) TV wanted it in the middle of the week. I'm not saying I agree with it, but I would imagine this will be a big midweek draw for FS1 since it's a Big Ten "home game" and the Big Ten's TV partners will air the game.
Last year, this game was scheduled for Wednesday, November 20th, so I assume Illinois and Alabama agreed to schedule the return game on a Wednesday in November as well.

hope BH has a redemption year for us as a solid bench player. was an unfortunate victim of unreasonable expectations. a lot of people (including myself) expected MD-type contributions despite clear evidence that MD was much more capable of making the jump to B1G
Coleman had to play for KSU. And no one really knows what he got. I'd be shocked if he got his reported $2 million asking price.
I also like a good hatred for Indiana, but let's try to limit the appreciation for Purdue fans.

This would put us as the 2nd-ranked team in scoring, 39th in assists, and 1st in rebounds by a healthy margin.
YES! It also would mirror our stats from this year with a slight uptick in points. Unless I am adding wrong.

Easy solution... Add 2 assists to petrovic's number, add 2 to tomi's and add 1 more for kylan.

Yeah, it's another 6 points higher than. Last year. I'm not sure who scores less points if they don't go that high, though. Maybe Stojacovic and Ivisic lose a couple?
I mostly agree. The numbers in bold were tweaked. I think many of the differences are what they can do vs. what they will do in their assigned roles.

I'm expecting the number of possessions/game to decrease based on better defense. I'm also expecting Ben to be a 5-7m/game player.
Seems reasonable...it seems hard to have 2.6 more assists a game and have the total score go down by half a point a game, but either way, I think we are looking pretty good!
Can't wait to hear Bardo do an Illini game this year so we can get the correct pronunciation of all the new players names....
I'm expecting more baskets on cuts w/Tomi serving and more made 3s on the same style passes as last year vs. missed 3s and scrambled put backs. The overall points aren't going up much due to fewer expected possessions. Our assist rate last year wasn't great.
