I hate to break it to you...By far, the worst round of the day. The only team to shoot above par. Need to regroup.
This is where we need a dislike button in this forum. The good news is that we should have almost everyone back next year (only Voois graduates). The bad news is that we should have almost everyone back next year.
Such success for a long time. Thanks coach. Yeah, disappointing season. But I'll be back for more exciting Illini men's and women's golf action this fall, God willing. Hope to shoot my age on my nine-hole course this summer; a 75 would be real sweet. No foot wedges or do-overs. Maybe a mulligan on the first tee only. This is where we need a dislike button in this forum.
Way to show appreciation to a top 15 team that has wins this year and is returning players that will be playing professional after their obviously bad post season run, pretty strong work there bud. I'm sure Coach Small and this elite program looks forward to your support. I guess your the guy that expect more from his teams because that is what real fans do...your lame.
This team will be once again a top 20 team in the nation and continue to be one of the truly bright spots in Illinois sports.
Ok I think there is only one guy, Malan Potgeiter, who could pass Ryan who is currently 25th on the PGA university standings. That gets him membership tp the PGA AmericasTour and second round of Korn ferry Q school. Malan needs probably like at top 30 to pass him for the final spot.
yeah, that +7 third round was a shocker and I think will let right squeak in. Which is a helluva an accomplishment if it happens. Having any guareenteed pro golf coming out of college is huge. Ryan exceeded my expectations at Illinois. Very impressed.Potgeiter failed to make the cut, which is more of a challenge for individuals as well as members of teams outside the top 15. He was in the top 10 at one point, but a rough Sunday sunk him to the 30s. Not sure how they score it for PGA University rankings, but looking like Ryan might hang on to the #25 spot!
