Illini Golf 2025-2026
So weird to see an insane amount of doubles and even some triples for a Mike small team. Never used to happen. Ryan was great today except for a double on the easiest par 5.
Duplicate yesterday would work. Hopefully teams ahead of us will fall back. But you are right, third is well within our reach.
Front 9 is harder than the back but not off to a good start at all. Would be a disaster of a postseason if they don’t qualify.
Bad start. We do not have it today.

+3 already. Going backwards again, now 8 shots out of 5th and tied for 7th with Northwestern 
It’s only gotten worse. It’s not even the conditions. Southern miss is -9 and ahead of us. Pitiful performance so far.
Consistency or lack of has been our problem all spring. Regroup and build for next year.

11 shots out of 5th coming to the turn. Currently T-10 and 2 shots behind Howard(!) for the worst round of the day. Yikes
Georgias performance might be worse. 4th seed and hosting at your home course and you might not qualify.
There’s a chance but need Charleston and Georgia to struggle some on the tougher front.
Homecoming 2019

Only 2nd time since 2008 that Illini golf will not play in the NCAA Championship. Not the year everyone expected.
All year the team struggled with consistency too many players who can be good and bad not enough guys who you can fully rely on. And max who should be the star battled injuries a lot. Tough ending. I feel horrible for Charleston. Georgia beats them by 1 on their own course. Charleston should be going not them.!
2 seed in the regional, finishing 2nd to last is shocking. Really disappointing.
In case people care, USC qualified, Purdue is in the middle of a historic collapse on round 3, might not qualify. TTU 7 seed might not qualify, OSU also collapsing today at home course, 19 seed Charlotte might not qualify, 21 seed NMST missed. UCLA should qualify, northwestern and Oregon missed. So 3 b10 teams probably in the final.
