Giorgi is still on track..

Would be huge if he gets the Nuggets 2nd two-way player slot. There isn't another player in the world better to be his teammate than Jokic.

Couldn't be happier for GB !!! I'm sure he'll finally be able to upgrade his Lambo.... although I'm not so sure he's the kind of guy that will want to.

Looks like Hill got waived today. At least he was in the mix.

Can someone who understands how this stuff works explain why a team would sign a training camp invitee and then waive him like 3 days later? I know these are non-guaranteed deals and guys get signed and waived like crazy at the lower end of the roster, but I still don't see the point.

The Exhibit 10 deals these guys are signed to also feature bonuses of between $5,000 and $50,000 that kick in if the player is waived and they report to the team’s G League affiliate for at least 60 days. It's a way for the team to encourage a player they don't currently want to sign to an NBA contract to instead play for the team's G-League affiliate, which has to pay a standard G-League salary (I believe it's currently just $7,000/month).

Thanks. When they said "minimum" I knew it wasn't the NBA minimum, but wasn't sure what amount it was referencing. Sounds to me like it's a viable path for a younger player that still has a chance to leap-frog players in the draft or already in the G League. Not many guys will make it into the league, but if they get a decent draw while they're trying, that seems like a reasonable alternative to the overseas leagues.
