Bryant and Cook 2-11 in first half, ANOTHER lousy first half of shooting. Something wrong and chemistry bad, Bryant's comments after the win the other day even made it sound like yes we have problems. Hobby, Bostic, McKenzie all looked good. However we suck, yes we do at stopping the other teams best player. Last year we took pride in our D, this year not so much they had a play score 15 in first half, who sat out with an injury and still shot 6-8 for her 15 and she was always wide open. What has happen to us??

Maryland laughing when they run us over and get called for a foul. Well I am laughing also, has not happened all day. We don't give up I'll say that for us.

Another one and the announcers from Maryland call it a ,"vicious screen", yet no call against Maryland. Alright we didn't play well enough to win. starting guards crank up 24 shots and only shoot 33% just not going to do it. Maryland just got warning to quit fouling from the ref. NO !!!!! 38.8 seconds left in the game.

One final note as a team we shot 49% and our two starting guards at 33% and 28%.

Terps had 42 points in the paint. Also shot lights out in 4th quarter. Lost rebound battle by seven if I recall. They had 4 more second chance points. Bryant has to be one big bruise tonight. She may be small in stature but she is not afraid to get run over! Hobby is really starting to be a steady player for us. Great three level shooting touch. For most part we did a better job handling the press. On to OSU and Minnesota at home. Hope the fans come out. We are playing competitive basketball. Let’s go Illini.

You can do well with one small guard in the lineup - the Illini men's teams in the '80s with Tony Wysinger at PG proved that. But it's really hard to win with two small guards in the lineup. Maryland repeatedly posted up their guards down low against our guards. One reason we have trouble getting the defensive boards. It's not for lack of effort, it's just a size disadvantage.

I understand court storming but the player’s safety is always a concern
#1, I'm not defending storming the court and not being aware of opposing players need to get off and out of the malaise. The players deserve respect and safety above all.

However, there are several alternative angles that would at least imply the possibility that she was over reacting to very little actual contact. Who knows, but there is plenty of room for doubt. O$U fans are are certainly not having it.

Regardless she is truly an amazing player and a once in a lifetime talent.

Like your take and agree

I was going to make the joke.....guess her court vision needs some work but didn't want to post it too early :ROFLMAO:

Majority of the fans are already at half court and there are a number of people on the court when Clark decides to run. I get Clark wants to get off the court but she was not getting crowded at all. She tried to sprint off quick and B line it to the locker room without any awareness of her surroundings. Work smart, not hard

Politer than I would have answered.

It was an enormous flop and she carried on as if she'd been shot. Shame such talent is wrapped up in such a persona.

Destiny Williams 2009 - played one game at C-U transferred to Baylor and won NCAA championship there

Chatrice White 2014 had 2 good seasons at Illinois before transferring

I don't remember Jolette Law having much success with that #2 ranked recruiting class. Anyone remember what happened?
