Caitlin Clark is one heck of a player. I don't have much bad to say about her except I hope she doesn't break the all-time points record against us and she is also dating a McCaffery.
One thing I have noticed is she plays a ton of minutes and shoots a ton of shots. I get the shots because she is a playmaker shooting/passing. Iowa was 35.5 point favorites against Wisconsin last night. Iowa won by 46 and Clark didn't come out until 4-5 minute mark in the 4th quarter. She deserves the all-time record when she gets it but this has been going on for a long time.

Bit of both probably. Hobby playing more helps with size, rebounding,and scoring. She has played well. Also we have been more aggressive, maybe coach has kicked butt a bit. We had a bigger rotation of players, like tonight Dolan has played well and through 3Q has 8 points. We also have taken less bad shots, less 3 point shots. Now Technical Difficulties so can't watch.. I see Hobby with 4 fouls so that saves fouls on Bostic and wear and tear on our other bigs. Hobby makes a difference just being on the floor.
Hobby is playing well. Love to see us try to play some zone on defense so she can stay in the paint. Our interior defense seems to have taken a nosedive - could it be related to Ryan Gensler leaving to take the Akron HC job?
She took some accidental contact to the face late in the 4th quarter in the Northwestern game. She layed face down on the floor for a bit. When they got her up & to the bench, she had cotton stuck in both nostrils. I'm sure it was related to that.

I am not sure but our defense looks terrible this year with same personnel. Shauna needs to get on this ASAP.
Hoping we can stay patient and continue to move the ball. The Terps will try to speed us up. Last year we had a good lead at College Park until we fell to their press. Same with our game at Ohio State. Needing another fast start. Let’s go Illini. 
Agreed. She isn't afraid of contact. She seems to relish it. I liked both freshmen.
I think Dolan is going to be a star. Her offense is sensational, great looking release on her shot. I'm guessing she didn't have to play a lot of defense in high school. Shauna will fix that.
I think Dolan also had the ball in her hands most of the time in high school and now she has to learn to play without it.
Yes, being a Top Dog in HS, especially in a lower level of play, doesn't guarantee a proficiency of play at a P2 level.... We (UI) hope to strike gold with player(s) while building our brand/level of play. We are barely in to the Shauna Green era, but I am very very optimistic of our future....
When you have the ball and only 15 left on the clock why do we try and hurry a shot? Run the clock down and get the last shot. Multiple times this year we have done that and turned the ball over. We didn't even get a shot and they score. This IS a coaching problem when it happens over and over. Occurred first quarter today. Why do we have coaches sitting on the bench if none of them help, suggest, yell?
Tried 1 on 4 ... I was yelling last shot ...
