Hopefully, we run into South Carolina. Looking forward to that game. :hailtotheorange:

One tall player that is leading scorer, most of the scoring after that come from guards. Three of them shoot near 40% from three point line. That sounds like us. Could be interesting game. I think I like our coaching staff better.

In a way I’m not surprised….
Our resume was better that IMO…but
We’re an upstart in the eyes of WBB and the committee. You’re never gonna get the benefit of the doubt until you prove you’re a competent program for consecutive years.

They have a hard job…and more often than not they get it right. But if someone is gonna get hosed it’s usually someone in comparable position to the one we find ourselves in.

PS: Why didn’t the ladies get to kick it in Ubben for the announcement?

never understood why the play in games are 16 and 11 seeds. wouldn't seeds 12-15 be worse seeds, so why do the 11s have to play in it?
It's the 4 worst league winners (always a 16 seed) and the 4 worst at-large teams. The seed has nothing to do with it. Some years the worst at-large teams are a 13, some a 12, and some an 11. It's just how that particular bracket shakes out.

A probable reason why the women are playing in the Play-In game.
They had 22 wins on the season
17 of those wins came against teams that finished the season with losing records.
4 wins came against teams who finished 4 games or less above 500.
1 win (Iowa) that was a big win.
I'm glad Green has turned things around, hope she continues.

The selection show messed up the reveal, they briefly displayed the IL-MS matchup without the typical dramatic reveal fanfare, it was confusing.
So Dan, is the Illini’s game in South Bend on Wednesday? What time? TV? I can’t find it anywhere, including on their FB page…

A couple of conference tournament upsets got us good. Also the selection committee loves a story line, Corry Irvin one of coach Faye's assistants is an assistant there.
