Actually, the only 6'3" starter for the Illini last year was Brynn Shoup-Hill, who was injured and missed most of the end of the season. She came back for the tournament but was clearly not 100%. She has a nice 3 point shot and should be a big part of the offense in the upcoming year.

Bostic may have been listed at 6'3", but she isn't that tall. She is currently listed at 6'2". If she is 6'1" the measurement is generous. That doesn't take away from her effectiveness, rather it makes her play all the more impressive.

Hobby and Bollin should lead to major changes in the way Green handles game strategy. Really looking forward to it.
Bostic has led the conference in rebounding each year that she has been with us. Last year she also finished third in conference in blocked shots.

Lou used to have basketball team run the 5k on the Illini orange golf course next to Willard airport. I remember Derek Holcomb 6’11” chugging along in his Converse high tops.

Not Illini related, but an assistant coach for the Rutgers women's basketball team passed away in the last couple days. I reached out to a former student of mine who was the Rutgers point guard last year. She said it has been a very difficult situation for the team to cope with.

Oh My Gosh, it's Nikki McCray! Former Lady Vol and Olympic Gold Medalist ('96). How horrible

I was watching Guytonon TV at Run4Roses AAU tournament last weekend. She plays for MacIrvin fire. The other team double teamed her at every opportunity.
She is quick and can score. However she is not that big 5'7" and when I was watching she did not show much of an outside shot. Her dad AJ is 6'1"

Illinois needs to put the full court press on landing her......

Sounds like she isn't announcing until September unless something changes

I know KB has really improved her jump shot release. And there is a line up with 4/5 players are above 6'0 and can all shoot. It will be as exciting as last season.
Appreciate it! KB will likely play further from the basket so that’s good news, but she was so effective in close I’d think they will keep some of that included as well.

Only basketball player from Alaska I remember is Trajan Langdon Duke. He had relatively short NBA career but is GM of the NBA Pelicans.
