Interesting stat and hard to believe (maybe previously mentioned already), but Illini had 0 steals and FGCU had 4.
FGCU had zero turnovers in the first half and 1 for the whole game. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team only have one turnover in a college basketball gameInteresting stat and hard to believe (maybe previously mentioned already), but Illini had 0 steals and FGCU had 4.

That's insane. Even more crazy to lose by 40 when only turning down the ball once! Bet that hasn't happened muchFGCU had zero turnovers in the first half and 1 for the whole game. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team only have one turnover in a college basketball game
That is why it is so encouraging to see BU embrace playing zone. Use your height advantages and minimize your deficiencies....in this case, that is just a bit of lack of athleticism by our bigs on defense. A focused and competent zone can be used to elevate defensive effectiveness against most teams. Not saying it needs to replace man...which should be the norm....but can be a very effective weapon even against elite teams.I don't see this team playing high pressure on the ball defense outside of Boswell, at least early in the season. The few that have the athletic ability to do so are young!
To some, that is being rusty. It’s the mental side that takes the biggest hit when you haven’t gone full speed in a while. My problem with Stoj is not that he was rusty, but it looked like he was trying for the stats and had tunnel vision, which led to some bad plays. The ball had to pop.
Talk about a great recruiting pitch if Z continues is performance all season…take twins in different environments, measure how they do. Put them in the same environment, see how they do.Bolded is the key. He's way more athletic than Tomi. But Tomi thus far in their careers has been the more consistent and focused player.

Now we just need 24 more twins at the top 24 schools to dominate recruiting
