We're trending #1 on Twitter! And for something good!
Adding kids like Richie and Milo don’t change your program and using today to simply pander to those transfer players will make today just...today. Nothing more.
If you use today the way you should, you grab Corey and walk into Mookie Cooper’s living room and say “You want to be a part of this thing”? And if he says “Yes”? You’ve changed the course of the program. That’s what we should be doing.
Try this https://www.foxsports.com/watch/1112089Anyone know of any way to watch this whole game online right now? I had back to back soccer games for the children and didn’t think there was any shred of a chance of winning!!!
(takes another bite of delicious crow)
This is exactly where I am at. I have been underwhelmed by the recruiting to date given Lovie's NFL experience and thought he would be able to bring in some higher level talent. I also didn't believe Lovie could run his system without elite athletes. While this is just one game there is clearly reason to be optomistic. We are not getting run out of the stadium out like we were last year. The comment during the game about Lovie not getting great talent but getting the best of what their players could do was spot on. Credit both Lovie and the players. This Wisconsin team has looked incredible this year and we walked away with The win.The goal line stops were impressive. Im very happy for the players and for the staff. I think this win may have saved Lovie's job. Let's hope they can carry this momentum the rest of the season both with game play and recruiting. Great effort!Lovie can coach. He just needs to continue to recruit and get some more transfers and juco guys so young ones can develop. Recruiting is what he needs to improve on. The play calling and development of his players is not the issue. We just need more players, transfers, and time for the young guys to develop. Wins like this with the highlights showing on all networks today will certainly help.
There’s a difference between chasing a key transfer strategically and taking in 7 kids in one offseason and further advocating we take quote “more”. A drastic difference, actually.
Rocky was at the game today. So too, the Chief.I'm right there with you. The win @ #1 Ohio State was a shocker, but we were legitimately good.
The only one that rivals this was @ Michigan in Kittner's Sophomore year. We were down what...three touchdowns in the 4th? I think Harvey took off for about 60-70 yards late. That was a program changer for Turner. That's the only other true shocker I can think of.
Talk about a guy whose glass is completely empty. Why watch at all if you can’t enjoy a game like this, without ANY negativity? WOW.The TE from Georgia has 3 years of eligibility. That’s not the norm, those are players we should target.
And besides that, you can only name one transfer from those programs. One. We added 7 and you’re advocating for more, so, yeah...
Well, they buy-in for the obvious reason. With but one exception, the players we’ve added can’t get on the field with their current Power 5 program(s) whereas they can get on the field with ours. Thats not merely a logical opinion either, Brandon Peters himself stated it outright.
If we continue to have to lean on the transfer for large percentages of our starting players, we will not go forward as a program. That guy keeps referencing teams like LSU and Alabama. Alabama has added two transfers in the last five years....combined. We, on the other hand, when fully healthy, are forced to start five. There’s no comparison to the way we are using it vs. the ways other programs use it. The way teams like LSU use it is sustainable. The way we use it is not.
There’s also another major factor potentially at play here: Regulation. If the NCAA begins to overhaul the transfer process and place larger restrictions on players moving out, other more successful Power 5 programs will be largely unaffected. We, however, will be gutted.
I thought that ILL would lose.
I am enjoying a meal of boiled crow with no salt, pepper or spices. It tastes very excellent.

Michigan in 08? The Blackcat game. That's the last true shocker victory I can remember. However, this one was even more improbable and all the sweeter.I'm right there with you.
Jamal has been a bulldog all season. Legitimately might be the teams MVP.Something else that really made a positive impact today, the re-emergence of what appeared to be a legitimate game plan for the usage of Daniel Barker. He’s been so good this season, we need to start putting more trust in him as an offense.
Defensively, just say the name Jamal Milan over and over. That kid carried us today. I’m aware of Dele’s statistical numbers but Jamal Milan carried this defense today. Unbelievable effort.
Agree...catching the ball is a talent..so is running fast.... catching the ball is important...not sure if Smalling does not get hurt, some of those balls hit the groundThought Navarro and Washington played well
