Part of that Goode thing is due to Domask spending so much time backing down, backing down ad nauseam. We definitely need to improve our outside shooting. Two things I noticed, several guys seemed reluctant to shoot when they were first open, often choosing to pass or dribble instead. I don't understand their hesitancy. Secondly, when we did shoot the three, they were often rushed or contested. If you watch that 04-05 video you see the ball movement that resulted in Dee being wide open. I would like to see our guys quicker to pull the trigger when open and better about getting the ball around and into the open man. I saw Godde staning alone on the baseline several times yesterday with no effort to get the ball into his hands.
He's right, since the Maryland game the rest of the league got the memo. We are getting crushed in the paint because we don't help.Three or four times Hummel suggested someone who is going to have to help Hawkins with a double teams in situations like this.
Thoughts?
You can thank the Wake Forest board during the Ayo recruitment for this gem.I tried to find this to respond.... lol. That is a LAD classic!!
In spite of Weber’s lack of recruiting prowess, he was lucky enough to land Leonard mostly because he was a small-town kid from Illinois who wanted to stay close to home. However, Weber and staff was clueless about how to coach him. Properly utilized, Myers could have been an Illini great. Instead like many, that game is my most enduring memeory of him. I knew Weber was gone at that moment. That was a bad one for sure. Or when we barely got out of the thirties to beat MSU by 1.

But for me, Worst overall game I can remember (win or lose), was the loss at Neb when Meyers cried on the bench. That was the worst I’ve watched.
Crying Illini can't believe blowout
There were tears in the locker room after Nebraska used a 36-4 run to win 80-57www.stltoday.com
It is classic. Believe it was from the Wake Forest board after we got the commitment from Ayo. They were a fun read!I tried to find this to respond.... lol. That is a LAD classic!!
With Michael Jordan we'd be undefeated
