A win is a win, but Ill start feeling good whenever we stop self destructing at the end of games. Those missed FTs and that Alston thing really soured my mood even though we won.

We have a team that cannot finish. Stupid mistake after stupid mistake. Frazier is carrying us, but he almost single handed gave that game to Indiana! Alstork is not a smart player. He is constantly fouling when there shouldn't be fouls. That last second he almost fouled on the miss.

In a year that is all about development at this point, Smith and Damonte need to be getting Alstork’s minutes. I understand the worth Alstork brings on defense, but at this point getting our freshman experience is much more valuable than any difference Alstork makes on the defensive end of the floor.

Thank goodness for Frazier. If he or Leron doesn't do the scoring, I'm not sure who will.
How do we get to this point where only 2 guys can put the ball in the hole?

Agree with this. Alstork offers very little and the difference between being seeded #14 in the BTT and #13 is not worth it.

I tend to lean this way too.

OK, everybody. Breathe deep, answer my I-L-L- with an -I-N-I and let's relish the moment of a win. There's plenty of time to dump on the team tomorrow. Fer cryin' out loud, stop acting like an Illinois fan, !!!!!in' even when we win.

You have the ball with 0.1 seconds left and 2 free throws. That has to be what, a 99.9999999% win probability? And Alstork did just about the one and only thing he could do to hand the game over to the other team. Like, actively trying to lose the game bad. Unbelievable. So Illinois.

He should not see a single minute next game.

Tonight I think you can throw Tejon in there. Actually I like seeing him & Trent in the game at the same time.

No Damonte or Smith the entire 2nd half. Thought that was a bit odd.

How many mins did alstork get in the second half? I don’t know where to look that up.

I the Lucas took a lot of guard mins today.

Smith and Williams don’t play the entire second half, and we finally win, and a bunch of people on here are saying that we should phone it in and bench Alstork so the freshman get more experience?

What?

The most valuable part of experience is that when you’re a liability in the game, you sit in the bench. They were both liabilities tonight and sat on the bench. We won. They’ll learn.

I was actually laughing at this ending. We are so bad at finishing. Then Alstork tries to do the one thing that could lose the game at the end. So glad I didn’t have Illinois -2.5. We got our win, maybe it will give us some confidence.

Well Thank the almighty we won. I was getting tired of my friends laughing at me and my team.

lol, I mean, lets be honest, we still tried to give the game away, Indiana just didn't take it.

I get what you're saying. Sort of.
You might be 100% right. But on the other hand, so what if we win 1 game. At this point, its about the long term. Alstork isn't there for the long term. So I'm not sure that I agree. I'm now invested in 2018-19, sadly

Smith committed two fouls- the first one was a bad call but the 2nd was just dumb. He has been making progress not reactively putting his hands on his man but BU must have wanted to send a message there tonight. My guess is that he got away with that a lot in HS cause he was quick enough to stay in front and then used his strength to knock guys off balance. Not happening in the Big Ten.
