Only thing that would’ve made this one better is if Kofi woulda given Davison the ol’ big brother hand on the forehead when he started to reach in at the end of the game.

What a bunch of dweebs those guys are.

It seemed to me that Kofi's moves to the basket were even stronger than usual tonight. I wondered if it had to do with him hearing a lot about Davis being the leader for the POY leading up to tonight. Kofi always plays strong but tonight I thought throughout the game he went to the basket so strong it was at an even more elite level. He was not going to be stopped. Anyone else notice this?

Two games in a row? that Kofi has nailed a contested mid range jumper... He can hit those consistently, it's a cheat code. There's no reason for him to take that 99% of the time because of his dominance inside 6 feet but he has that in his bag, no doubt about it.

I wasn't able to watch the game sadly.

Can anyone tell me if Podz got any game time in?
Covid did no favors to this years freshman class. Think each B1G team has at least one 23-24 year old super senior taking lots of minutes. Hard for a 17-18 year old to compete.

1) Kofi was just dominant. Context to performance, NPOY tape tonight
2) Belo is back and ooooh baby, that should scare the nation
3) Hummel called it, Jake vs Wahl felt like a wash, which is a win for us. Really enjoy Wahls game minus the hook and hold !!!! he's picked up from Davison. Fun matchup
4) only DMFW is strong enough to almost knock himself out - I've never seen anything like that
5) Plummer with a quiet game and we still blow out #11...😳
6) quality minutes by RJ and Goode. RJ Is smooth and Goode is gritty. Really liked seeing them in tonight
7) we roll deep

You mean dominant erupt

"Illinois (16-5, 9-2 Big Ten) isn't just leading the Big Ten standings; the Illini profile as one of the nation's scariest teams as they've so seldom played at full strength this season. Of Illinois' five losses, three have come with either Cockburn or Andre Curbelo — the team's two preseason All-America picks — out of commission. The other two came in either player's first game back from an extended absence—Cincinnati was Cockburn's first game back after suspension; Purdue marked Curbelo's first game after injury."

Yet their own Palm has us as a 6 seed.

Everybody played great tonight, even though the threes (uh, and free throws) were not falling as much as you'd like. Grandison snapped out of his shooting funk and Frazier should be next. Plummer... he has several shots that looked dead on and just rimmed out. Super perimeter defense from everyone.

As for Wisconsin... have to admit I felt pretty confident when I got a look at the scrawny dude who would be guarding Kofi. Really impressed with Wahl. That guy is a gamer and very agile. Davis may be good but I thought he spent the whole night hunting for fouls tonight and trying to get the star treatment.

And what about the refs??? Lol. Haven't heard anyone complain about the refs for once. I barely thought about them during the game.
We won. The very few with RDS (ref derangement syndrome) are still out there

CH just looked so lost in his minutes tonight. It's so strange how much he has shrunk in on himself as the season has gone on. It seems like instead of learning from his mistakes he is scared to make more and is playing slow leading to even more mistakes. He got burned by Wahl on not very convincing fake handoff, gave up and offensive rebound, and then did nothing on the other end of the court. I love his potential but I'm not seeing him make effort plays and he doesn't seem dialed in to the game plan which is a recipe for sitting on the bench.
Still waiting for light to come on. Murray and Davis examples of light coming on. Change of scenery?

You are absolutely correct, Sir!!!!!

Unfortunately not. Would have liked to see him in the game even for the last two minutes, particularly against Wisconsin and his dad supposedly driving down today. Of course you can’t play someone just for reasons like these, but it seems like it should have been possible the last couple minutes.
Didn’t get to watch the game. Minor nitpick
Coach call timeout and get your starters off the floor and allow the crowd to cheer their performance.

Otherwise 10 out of 10 Performance

I think it likely was an effect of a +99683 weight/strength differential vs the Wisconsin guys guarding him. I’d like to think at least part of it was an “I’ll show ‘em” mentality due to the Davis matchup.
