Yeah, I was looking for more RJ tick last night, but it was hard to argue with Brad’s moves last night.

Wisconsin might be the toughest B1G team to play as a freshman. They run a unique offense and the run it very diligently. And they will punish you for every mistake you make defensively. That's how they have thrived year after year. Tough environment for freshmen.

They are the best screening team I’ve seen all year. Makes up for their fairly average talent outside of Davis.

Terrible efficiency though
Efficiency was definitely not there (thank God), but getting more rebounds than even Kofi is still really impressive. Kid is a stud and worthy POY candidate. THAT said, Kofi is darn-near unstoppable and the main piece on the B1G's best team, not to mention now the victor in the only head-to-head matchup with Davis (and had the way better game). Forget the NPOY race for a second -- if the B1G rewards a giant beast on a less successful team in lieu of our dominant guard one year (Luka over Ayo), and then rewards a dominant guard on a less successful team over our giant beast the next year, then that will be cause for rioting in the streets in my humble opinion. If the race is neck-and-neck, the award should go to the player who helped his team win more. So, let's go kick the :poop: out of the rest of the B1G on this stretch run and see Kofi put together his own memorable performance over Purdue in a W -- if Kofi and the team can pull off the latter, then the award should be his to lose.

Jim Turpin must be turning in his grave!
Village idiot here.... Jim Turpin has not really passed, right? A huge fan. Loved listening to him call Illini games in the 80s. His calls of Nick Anderson's buzzer-beater at Indiana and Andy Kaufman's to beat Iowa in 93 were all-timers. Last thing I want to do after such a great Illini win last night would be to prematurely kill off an Illini legend

Wisconsin looked weaker defensively than other teams we have played. They are ranked too high IMHO. They were good with their pucks and cuts to the bucket. But they are not at the Arizona or Purdue level.
Wisky is definitely playing above their talent-level, but I would also argue that we are just particularly well-built to beat them. They don't have much in the way of interior defenders to handle Kofi and we have two of the nation's best guard defenders to throw at their primary and secondary options, who account for >50% of their points. And they don't have any lengthy, burly wings/forwards, who are the players that tend to give us fits.

I appreciate the info, but why rush through this in 60 minutes when one can luxuriate in 120 minutes of Badger beat-down?

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

The Good: Kofi, Grandison, and beating Those To The North by 13.

The Bad: Other than Kofi and Grandison, the rest of the Illini shot 32% from the field and 25% from Three.

The Ugly: The weather.

The Best: Illini fans who once again proved on a bad weather night why fans of The Orange are ELITE.

I was out last night and felt sick to my stomach when i got home at 11:15 pm pacific time and realized that i forgot to set the dvr, but then i looked on big ten network and a full replay was scheduled starting at 11 pm so i switched to it and they were running behind schedule, so first i saw highlights of the beat down but after that they showed most of the game!

I've never seen a Badgers team shoot that poorly from 3 point range.

Did find it interesting they mentioned on the broadcast that the Badgers are playing at the fastest tempo, for Wisky at least, in at least 20 years.
They shot similarly against us in champaign last year (4/24)

You're right about "an Illini legend!

What is it they say? "Rule of thumb; never assume." Oh well; sorry, I did it again.

In that case, Jim Turpin must be having a great retirement, in this what appears to be the latest, greatest, period in Illini basketball.

Imagine telling us at the beginning of the season we'd have 7 turnovers against the 11th ranked team in the country. There was a time when only 7 turnovers in a half felt like a small victory. I mean, I think we all hoped we'd get to this point, but during that early-season stretch, it felt so very, very far away. The progress this team has made despite everything is remarkable.
And we just got our roster whole again.....(dominant. erupt.)

This is the wrong thread for this depending on how you view the topic but here goes:

I can no longer look at the DE abbreviation for Defensive End in football without thinking Dominant Eruptor. You all get to share this burden with me. Thanks @pruman91
