A few player observations:
TSJ is our alpha, but he’s not back to
pre suspension form yet.
Domask gets so little credit from our fans for how valuable he is. He’s easily been our MVP and kept this team at an elite level!
CoHawk is an AA one game and head-scratcher the next. His passion is a blessing one game and a curse the next. After four years this isn’t going to change. Please channel the positive side for the tourney when we need it most.
Ty does so many different things well for us, but also has obvious flaws. I get the love, but he’s a liability sometimes. I know the “Ty is a lottery pick” fans can’t see this.
QG is obviously hampered by something.
LG plays hard and smart despite defensive flaws.
Harmon has great heart and effort and excels despite elite skills.
DGL is not Trae Young.
DD needs to put more effort on D and his tick will increase.
I’m sure BU doesn’t need my analysis to know this. He hasn’t been great at game adjustments, but he knows who needs to be on the floor.
Sweet 16 this year or this season is not a success(based on the past failures).

2. Seeing Quincy drive from the top of the key to the hole in like three steps. Only I then realized it wasn’t Quincy. lol. It was Amani.

Ty hasn’t missed a beat with staying aggressive after TSJ came back. Elevated his game when he went out and it only improving from there. Really impressed with how he has handled so much being asked of him this year and taking him a bit out of his comfort zone.
Didn't like that he sat out the last 18 minutes vs Northwestern, but he's certainly bounced back. Not sure why he's not on the floor late in games? Still concerns over ball handling and/or free throws? He improvement has been dramatic.

I’d argue that Hawkins is our MVP and the most consistent player we’ve had all season, if you consider the defensive side to be just as valuable. He had an off night but off nights have been rare for him this season and that’s certainly changed.

When are they gonna call Ty for going over the free throw line on his free throws? Love the improvement but it will get called this season.
I've wondered this every time he shoots a FT! Obviously, the improvement is amazing, but I wonder if he practices like that?? Maybe he was leaning back before and he is emphasizes not doing that?

For the people who had issues with the PCock, were you guys using laptop/phone or the TV app? When I streamed the football game in the fall on pc, the game was almost unwatchable at times, dropped coverage multiple times, and would lag at others. Watched on the TV app today and had no issues whatsoever. I'm thinking they must have stability issues- if you can, try using the TV app next month and see if it improves for you also.

Roku today was good. The LG TV app in the past was not.

I watched some of his games playing for that super all-star HS team he was on and this is pretty much what I remember seeing. He seemed happiest setting up the better known players, rebounding, and playing defense. Didn't try for spectacular plays even though he has them in him.

He might not be a typical point guard, but he's definitely an excellent point something. Great player to have on our team. He's a 3 point shot away from making tens of millions in the NBA as many have noticed. Until then, we get to enjoy watching him play for us.

Some people just want to watch games on TV like we used to. FYI I’m not that old. Technology can be great in many ways like modern medicine but for many other things it ruins us as humans and is detrimental to our society.

Observations:
- Still clearly a 3 team league with a trailing 4th in a respectable space.
- Maryland defense is better than everyone else by quite a bit now.
- Ohio State, PSU, Michigan and Rutgers have created a bottom tier of the B1G, so yay for them.
- I'm not entirely sure there are more than 4 NCAA bids in this conference, but Northwestern is set to go on a run of wins after tomorrow's game at Purdue, so they could still build a resume here pretty fast.

6 B10 teams will likely make it: Purdue, Illinois, Wiscy, MSU, Northwestern, and Nebraska. Maryland could maybe sneak in if they get hot

With regards to CoHawk tonight, quite frankly, I thought the call on him leading up to the tech was hot garbage. It was a really poor call. An actual decent ref would have let him vent there even if he was warned ahead of time or evened out the foul by calling the flop as well. That was a tech due to ref's ego from knowing he was calling a terrible game out there and didn't want to be showed up. Should never have been called.

That said, yes, Coleman needs to dial it back, especially towards the refs. That will lead to technicals being called, and he almost certainly should have picked one up in a previous game at some point. There are ways to talk to a ref about a call you disagree with in a far better way and that could even elicit some positive calls in possessions to come. I certainly agree he needs to control the emotional responses, but this one shouldn't have been a technical. The good news is that this happened to him in a game we won handedly. Gotta let the coaches ride the refs

Love the depth displayed tonight and especially love seeing TSJ starting to come alive in the 2nd half.

We starting to round back into form but still got a lot to figure out. Especially on defense. It's a real issue now and there's no reason for this. Hopefully it's just gassed legs and the lighter schedule the next couple weeks help.

If we can't get back to a top 20 defensive team I'm afraid we're one cold shooting night from a early march exit.

Don't disagree, but will also say he might be our MVP. This team is so connected. I think it's bringing a very very deep run!
