lol, I don't know how much he gets paid already, but I bet it's more than most of us and he's a future millionaire.... I'll pass on the probably $100 jersey and get the $25 one from the sketchy site.. 🤷‍♂️

The Hoops Recruiting Thread from September 2024 is pretty entertaining:

This is probably more a general comment you’re making - so I’d agree.

But man. I thought both of Ben’s today were MASSIVE shots. The second one in particular.
they were but I just see the gears moving with Ben and just don't feel confident when he shoots despite his height advantage. I just get the feel the moment is just too big for him.... will be happy for him to prove I'm wrong. he's been much better this year all around and like his role. i feel the complete opposite with Jake Davis. I think this dude is waiting, craving, absolutely ready for the moment despite being a step slow and not the best athlete. he also is about getting dirty on the offensive boards despite being undersized. I root for them both... just what I see.

To go down memory lane for once: when's the last time anyone in a CBB game had this great a performance? This isn't me saying it hasn't happened, but when's the last time it's happened? Any player included.

And it's not just 46pts. Factor in missing only 4 shots all game, and in a top5 road win.
The answer truly is never if you look at it from that perspective. I think Jeff Borzello tweeted out it was the most points ever scored in a top 10 road win.

Yes, but he was playing a BYU home game against an unranked opponent, Utah. Also, Debantsa was held to 13 in his last game, so he was trying to up his PPG against an overmatched opponent.

Absolutely

But I mustn’t lose sight of the fact that he only scored 3 of our last 19 points

Lot of guys made big time shots
Agreed. However, also worth noting Keaton had the assist on 3 of the 4 threes at the end (two to Tomi, one to Davis).

And the Mirkovic three was a hockey assist, two swing passes from the top of the key.

Just made the correct play almost every time down. Hard to find a great offensive play today... where he didn't have his fingerprints over it.

When we went down 8-2, Purdue made everything look easy. Our defense was lost and outside of Keaton, we had zero offensive aggression or identity at all. He kept us afloat long enough for the rest of the team to find their rhythm. It kinda felt like a typical big game where we just get outworked and outsmarted.

This team is different though. They have high IQ and an edge we haven't seen since TJ and honestly one we didn't have earlier this season. Wish I could find it, but the three that Keaton hit over TKR and TKR just threw his hands up like "what am I supposed to do" just felt like we were in their heads a bit. Keaton didn't do too much, and leveraged the extra attention to make those around him successful. Braden Smith is so good, glad he wasn't hurt too bad and was able to finish.

What a classic game from two great teams. Brad has something this year and I've been impressed with his ability to find guys. If it weren't for Keaton, we'd all be raving about how good Mirk is, but a freshman averaging 12/8/2 is like an afterthought on this team.
