Just a fantastic game from start to finish. Love what Rogers brings to the table. Leaves me wanting more. Would love to see RJ play with more fire from the tip. Take the ball to the hoop. If everyone comes back and adding Hansberry next year we should really control the paint. ILL!!

no offense, but I think far too much is made of a player's body language, expression, whether he's cheering as loud as the other guys or as much as we think he should be.
None taken. Not buying your point here. I don't equate a player's determination to a player cheering. Do you feel Dain plays as hard as Rodgers? At times, yes. All the time? The way he manhandled HD on that one layup is something he can do more often. Wouldn't you like to see more of that?

This team is, somehow, improbably, becoming really dangerous at the right time. And they're finding a way to do it in spite of a level of disruption at the PG position that would wreck a lot of teams.

I believe.
We're also very beat up with awful guard depth. Hopefully Jayden and Sencire can come back strong. We need them.

Even though Hunter scored a bunch, BU would disagree with you.
That's why he's the coach and I'm on the message board. Be that as it may Dickinson averages 18 ppg on 56% shooting and he got 31 points vs. us on 66% shooting (granted, he played more minutes than his average). The 31 points is a career high (previous 26 across 90 games). He was also 7 rebounds above his average.

I’m telling you guys, he’s Metta world peace aka Ron Artest
When Ron Artest came out of high school he was the number one recruit, iirc. He could score in bunches. And he did not have the Tasmanian devil personality of Rogers. And he weas all about Ron Artest.

If you watched Rogers play in Mexico in the U-18 tournament last summer, he played point guard and torched the other teams--not scoring but his defense, hustle, passing and all-around team play. He was the glue guy on that team.

THAT'S what we're seeing now. Jump shot or no, he's going to be the back-bone of this team for years to come.

Not to mention the and 1 for Bufkin in double OT was the exact same play that was called a flop on Mayer. I’m sure Juwan is right and there were a couple of calls that went our way but refs clearly favoring Michigan down the stretch when they needed it. Doesn’t matter. Still won.
Not to mention the hideous flop by Dickenson when guarded by CoHawk which gave them two more free throws. They were awarded at least 7 extra points--Mayers "flop", Hunters "flop" (not called) CoHawks NON-goal tend, Hunter's not called goaltend and Bufkin's flop.

Shouldn't even gone to overtime!

Nothing is easy with this team, their continued lack of execution made this game harder then it had to be, with that said, a win is a win, now they've set themselves up nicely to improve on their seeding and going into Mackey Arena and pulling off a upset and a deep BTT run would do just that. Side note: what the hell has happened to Dainja? Has BU just given up on the kid?

I was, as well, but I think that just might be his style. They flashed to him after some big plays like RJ’s dunk, and he was grinning and really excited.
I thought Dain played a great first half both offensively and defensively. But he screwed up a bunch at the beginning of the second half(missing lay ups , losing the ball , fouling etc, ) that the coach had to take him out. Then we started clicking with the smaller line up.

I thougt Dainja did a much better covering Dick-inson in the first half that CoHawk did in the second half. I would have put Dain back in for a few both for his psyche and to slow Dickman's constant rolling to the basket.

But I'm not the coach (and that's a GOOD thing!)

I was referring to interpreting the player on the bench by how he looks. You don't know what he's thinking or feeling. I believe a player is disappointed when he doesn't play as best as he can and contribute and do they look beat on the bench and maybe given up for that moment? yes. Doesn't mean they are giving up on themselves or their teammates? No, I'll need more than a few mins of feeling sorry for themselves to convince me of that. Would love to see a team full of players playing as hard as Ty. There very well may have been someone earlier in the year that looked at Ty on the bench when he came out of a game and said, look he's over there pouting because he's not playing as much as the other freshman, which I don't think could be further from the truth. RJ is another example. Did he look down and dejected for many a game? heck yeah, you would have been to if you went thru the stretch he went thru and knowing everyone on social media is slamming you. However, but for his suspension, by all accounts he kept practicing hard, played hard when he was in and eventually (lord I hope) has turned the corner. There just sooooooo many other things we could be talking about as opposed to how a player looks on the bench. That's all.

I like my Jordan Murphy (Minn) comparison. Ty seems quicker though.
I loved Murphy’s game, he was a player but he was not in the same school let alone class as Ty in athleticism. He could score however and we have yet to see Ty in his class in that regard.

I was surprised Hawkins could not slow Dickinson down more. I though Hawkins quickness would let his stop the entry pass.
Or he could hang back and block the shot.

Kofi owned Hunter.
March 2021 Kofi 12 pts Hunter 6 pts
January 2022 - Kofi 21 Hunter dnp
February 22 22 - Kofi 27 pts Hunter 13 pts

I stated that we would be 21-10 and 12-8. Lucky guess probably. We are close. I hope our point guard gets back for the NCAA's. Great game last night.

We expected to win at home vs. Penn State and Indiana. We got blown out by both so it left a bad taste in our mouth.

Its one thing to barely lose like we did at Iowa and Indiana but this team has been susceptible to big losses so it feels like we are not good.

Virginia 71-60 neutral court
Maryland 71-66 at MD
Missouri 93-71 neutral court - BLOWOUT
Penn State 74-59 HOME-BLOWOUT
Northwestern 73-60 at NW
Indiana 80-65 HOME BLOWOUT
Penn State 93-81 at Penn State

Iowa 81-79 at IOW
Indiana 71-68 at IND
Ohio State 72-60 at OSU

This team had 7 double digit losses. 2 at home.

By contrast 2021 team - Kofi led - all reg season blowouts were on road. 3 home losses to AZ, Purdue and Ohio State
Cincinatti 51-71 neutral
maryland 65-81 at MD
Purdue 68-84 at PURD
Rutgers 59-70 at Rutg
Houston NCAA

2020 team =- Ayo and Kofi #1 seed only one reg season blowout
Baylor 69-82 neutral (Baylor won NCAA)
Loyala NCAA

This years team is not as good past 2020 and 2021 teams. It is fighting for a #8 or #9 seed.

2020 #1 seed
2021 #4 seed

Who is quicker to the basket in open court, Terrance Shannon, SencireHarris, or Dee Brown?
What say ye all? :)
If you are talking running the whole court and be under control I would say Ayo/Dee. Chester Frazier if it was just speed

On the drive TSJ

Not sure Sencire can’t compete on speed but certainly not on finishing but hope we see him as a senior. Dee and Ayo were grossly improved by their third year.
