Illinois 97, Michigan 68 Postgame

ESPN hosts Sean Farnham & Dalen Cuff on Illinois during OK/Baylor halftime:

“Illinois. This was just a beat down of the Wolverines. I don’t even know why we’re showing this, to be honest with you” (both laugh)….

Farnham: ”I love this team”.

Cuff: “Good value for a final four pick… just sayin’ folks”.

And just like that the pendulum swings back…

After that postgame with Juwan, even though Brad owns him, I might be happy if he’s fired at the end of the season.

TSJ, he has really developed here......
Wish Miller would of stayed
In my opinion we traded Miller for Shannon and I take that trade everytime. Miller left without informing the staff, was a starter as a freshmen on a #1 seed team. He set the freshmen scoring record and had a good game against Loyola. He wanted to be a ball dominant guard, 4 years later that hasn't happen at two other universities. Wish him the best, but you make decisions and have to live with them. Amari Burnett also a Chicago kid, likely could have suited for the Illini on two different occasions. He has to be wondering what could have been as he sees fellow Chicagoan TSJ and his former teammate Coleman going off today.

If I’m not mistaken …. I recall some here saying Shannon FIRST had some admissions issues at Illinois, and only then considered Michigan. Same or similar issue at either school but we played ball while Mich didn’t. Am I crazy or is this loosely how it went down?
I’ve also never seen it confirmed he was like 100% going to choose Michigan over Illinois - only that the admissions mess at Michigan helped make the decision for him. Insiders correct me if I’m wrong, but couldn’t he have been admitted to Michigan and still decided to come home?

Either way … it’s irrelevant. He’s an Illini.

Brad asked him if he wanted some run in the second half and he said no…..before everyone panics his back is still messed up.
I thought I saw him get off the bench and begin to head like he was going to check in and then he vanished. Was that someone else or did he/the coaching staff make a call?
