Was never a fan, but hope he got a decent buyout. Kinda brutal to do it right before Xmas. . .

I Mean if you gotta fire him you gotta get rid of little cubit too...his offensive game plan was "offensive" he should be demoted to qbs coach and we get a new offensive co...or a co offensive co

phair should be the d co and get promoted.....get a different dbs coach smh

I assume Phair takes over as DC. Whoever was doing the play calling needs to go. I never once watched a play and thought "wow, didn't see that coming" What if G-Mo didn't catch the 30th pass thrown to him in the corner of the endzone against Nebraska?

As he def should i mean he had the d-line playing with an amazing passion....

we seriously need

a new offensive coordinator

a new dbs coach.....

and a new inside lbs coach since we got ride of mike ward

Holocek would be a good addition. May not come, but couldn't hurt to ask.

Agreed 100% - the defense was much, much improved this year and our issue was offense. The changes seem positive, but our offensive play calling was horrendous this year and it looks like nothing will change there. . .

Agreed Very Improved!....gotta do something about our offense badly though we couldnt put up pop warner clean up points last yr smh

Sorry to correct you Aaron but you would mean big Cubes game plan. Big Cubes even called the plays on offensive I saw him doing it to many times during televised games when the cameras where on the Illini sidelines.

I don't have a clue who Thayer Evans is, but is this just another tease?

I think Phair as DC could very well be an upgrade over Banks or the co-DC thing.

I felt like the defensive line was the most improved defensive unit last year. I hope Phair brings a more aggressive blitzing scheme next season.

I hope we don't lose more recruits over this. I know Coach Banks was pretty well liked by many of our D recruits.

Some buzz that current LBs coach at WMU will be joining the defensive staff after WMU bowl game.

No idea on who will take over DBs

Offensive play calling left a lot to be desired but hard to give a fair judgment with so many execution errors (drops, route miscommunications) and injuries. #18 will make a huge difference. Hoping one of the young QBs comes on strong in the spring (maybe Fitzgerald?)

This is garbage. I'm not 100% sold on Banks, but how can you let him go yet hire Cubit Lite as OC. The offense was absolutely putrid last year, lets reward that by promoting to "permanent" HC and OC. Give me a break.

So sick of all of this.

I love our offensive scheme where we are down against Minnesota and run a killer screen pass on 3 and 20 for one yard, followed by a time out, and then the decision to punt.

Can't wait for "2" more years of that scheme!

Right???? i said the same thing smh....we all know hardee and dudek are good especially dudek but them along cant change a lax offensive gameplay.....

somethings gotta give....we have way too many talented players...

when you look at how back the penn state wisconsin northwestern and osu games were we simply lost cause we couldnt score at all

That upset me so badly....i was at the bar and just basically walked out.......

i would have never promoted little cubit to that position smh

The thing that boggled me is that for most of our games, it seemed we moved the ball extremely well on the first drive and then just stalled.
