The saying defense wins championships is such a cliche and over used its laughable.
Scoring more than your opponent is the literally the only thing that matters. Defense typically isn't the reason that happens.
I think my brain almost exploded when reading this line. Is this sarcasm? I'm honestly not sure.
Scoring more than your opponents IS the only thing that matters. However, defense is ALSO typically the reason that happens. I mean, at least 50% the reason.
In order to score more points than the opponent, there has to be a group of motivated individuals that make sure the opponent doesn't score more than you right? That's still called the defense? And not some new term like anti-offense...or bizarro-offense?

Seems like the cat has been let out of the bag that it's Rod Smith.
Pretty good pedigree in terms of QB development and offensive efficiency, but yet again we're getting someone who didn't call the plays.
I also have the same concern if this is true and if he's never called plays...
