That's great, but who are the Chefs?
Several more offers went out this week. I understand networking & building relationships, but when a recruit already has offers from over 10 other Power 5 conference teams, we're too late to the dance, especially when ND, O$U FL etc. are involved. In these instances, every moment we spend on these recruits, is time wasted.

It's hard to criticize their methods when the recruiting has been pretty darn good as of late. If it ain't broke...
Not meant to be a criticism, just a statement on allocation of time, money & resources. And actually our recruiting successes are part of my point. We were on these kids early & I've applauded the staff for identifying early targets. But my post was referring to being the 20th offer for 4* and 5* players, who we have no chance at
What number offer were we for Ke'Shaun Vaughn? You never hold an offer from a stud player because of a "welp, we got no chance!" attitude.
actually we were on Vaughn early and offered before his homestate school TN & even before his hometown school Vandy. Thanks for reinforcing my point about being in early for top recruits:thumb:
I'd still be willing to bet that we weren't his first or second offer. The point remains that you offer kids you want, period. It's not a new concept.
You either completely misunderstood the point of my post, which was pretty clear. Or you're one of our fans who drinks too much O&B koolaid, thinking we're going to come in late and out-recruit O$U, FSU and other top teams. It doesn't work that way.
For us to win recruiting battles for 4* players over top schools, we either have an already-existing connection to the recruit or we MUST be on them early and build a relationship prior to the big offers coming, Apparently, that concept is new to you
I agree with you. But I think Beckham is trying to build a relationship with the coaches for a 2017 kid or 2018 kid. The top high school programs produce top players every year. I also them Bellamy thinks he will land one of the the Wide Receivers.
this guy is coaching for us ?

Either that or you don't understand that part of building relationships with schools is offering their players. Even if every other school in the country has offered, you better too if you like the player and want to start building a relationship with the staff.
I don't get why you think I said we could come in late and out-recruit those schools unless you just intend on putting words in people's mouths to continue an argument.
Julian Love committed to Notre Dame
Any clue why they offered Davir Hamilton? West coast LB? Do we have some tie in?
