I said it earlier in this thread, but the staff is doing something right. Regardless of the bad sound bites and other negative vibes that have surrounded the team at times.

They could completely flame out on the field this year, but, right now, I actually have a good feeling about the future of the program.

Its cool that we might get someone unexpected to sign, but that's kind of how I feel about the defense. I don't expect anyone to sign on that side of the ball. We desperately need to improve our defensive recruiting.

I am also hearing some very positive things. This staff is in on some serious talent. Game changers.

Hopefully, we will hear something in the next few weeks.

I hope some of this serious talent is on the defensive side of the ball.

Pretty sure he is only saying we are in on this talent not that we are landing it. We are off to a good start but the battle with these top in state kids is tough especially this year.

Well, let's hope for "something" to go down. But either way, I'm looking forward to Illini football again!

(even if we aren't sure what to expect this year and very well could tank it)

Would love to see this potential commit come to fruition. I despise the frequent use of the term "momentum" in sports, but there is likely some relationship of early commits and final recruiting rankings (would be an interesting study!).

"momentum" and "buzz" are two words thrown around in recruiting that I just can't stand.
