Cali says Jackson is mean and nasty so I love this pick up. Our lines need some attitude,

Welcome Kenyon! I will say that is an impressive video he has. I'm really shocked at only one offer. May be a big find for the ILLINI.

He was injured in the spring and couldn't camp anywhere. His dad and Bellamy played together in the pros. I think he sticks even after Arkansas offers

Doubt the Hogs have much of an engineering program.

Still don't understand how we have landed/retained 11 commitments amidst the everlasting controversy post-SC and with the fact that Beckman is coaching with no contracted future here. Really impressive.
I agree. On the radio recently, Tom Lemming mentioned that he didn't think the controversies were impacting Illini recruiting and the staff was incredibly hard working and going everywhere for players. I've followed Lemming long enough to know that he panders to his audience to varying degrees, but he also does go to a lot of schools/camps and talks to people. Maybe he's right. I personally have to believe the controversy has to hurt with top recruits, but perhaps it doesn't or they are only recruiting the next tier guys that don't care as much.

I'd matter the last portion of your post is partially true, but I doubt they're going too far below the norm for them. Realistically, they haven't shot for the stars with out of state recruits very much, leaving that only to local 4* caliber talents, but I'm fine with that - I prefer that than wasting resources on pipe dreams resulting in depth issues (ahem...Zook). Just my two cents

I agree. I would consider 4* recruits to be top recruits. If they are getting any, that is great news indeed.

Great job by the staff:congrats:
Very impressive film & very impressive stats, not sure how he has flown under the radar
Like everything about this commit

This kid has some good film. I like the way Kenyon gets off blocks. He also absolutely destroys a couple people with crushing tackles.

I really liked his pursuit and that he really wraps up on his tackles. His effort does not go unrewarded often (at least in these clips) when it comes to bringing the guy down after getting a hand on him. Certainly doesnt hurt that he gets off blocks really well with a pretty solid variety of moves IMO

plus he's the son of a great player. Can't hurt to have those bloodlines. His dad was a beast on tecmo bowl.

His dad has quite the résumé. "He was later voted Offensive Player of the Century at OU." Impressed with the get, great job staff.

Kenyon takes great angles so his opponents can't get square in front of him and he blows right by. Can't wait to see him in O&B.

I'm really a fan of this Jackson commit. Good sized, nasty, gets off of blocks...I feel like he deserves a mid 3-star grade, not a high 2-star! Good find by the staff, hope it holds if he starts to gain some publicity/hype.

He has been around this for sometime meaning the game at a high level. No game should be overwhelming to him . He should be him damn good under tons of pressure and perform well.

Keith Jackson, ( the big ole white dude announcer) , was simply the best.
He set the standard for college football.

He was college football before college football was really a business.

the guy could call a great game.
