A little nervous about the lack of commitments since the first signing day. A bunch of current players decided on transferring, opening up a number of scholarship spots, with little smoke on who is going to claim those new scholarships. There was buzz about Manuel Allen (WR - CA), but that seems to have died down. Looks like Dayven Coleman (S - TX) is going to Arizona. Robertson (OLB - CA) is a possibility, but odds are probably still for Arizona State.
For the positives, Kenyon Sims seems like a likely add to the class. Matt Robinson (QB - CA) is coming in for a visit. Offer went out to Brock Purdy (QB - AZ), but haven't heard much since then (seems like a Iowa State lean). Jacob Hollins (ILB - CA) is coming in for a visit this weekend. His ranking is 3000+, so is likely a project at a position that needs a couple immediate contributors.
Other worrisome developments are the lack of clarity on Tolson's admisson issues. Is he having serious concerns? Or just that he can't be admitted until after the spring semester? Would be a massive blow if he isn't part of the class. Also, Illinois needs a DE in this class badly.
**My apologies for the more pessimistic post than normal. TL;DR, was hoping for a strong finish to this class than what is currently transpiring.
