Anything new on Zakhari Franklin?
is he our AJ Storr for FB?
Truly think we need him if we want to have any shot at becoming a real good team.
Honestly think he could be the difference between something like a 8 win season and a 5 win season.
If he tears it up elsewhere...that'll be a HARD watch. It'll be worse than Storr imo.
I think his problem might have to do with enrollment from what I heard.
If we don’t add him we aren’t making a bowl game.

He already knows the offense and would probably have 1000 yards. If he isn’t added teams will just stack the box and make our unproven receivers beat them.
If we land Franklin, think there's a legit shot we have a 1000 yard rusher, 1000 yard receiver, and Altmyer ends up with 3500 total yards (about 3000 passing and 500 rushing).
If we don't land him, none might happen for that very reason you noted.
A lot of the young guys have a ton of potential but it’s a lot of pressure to put on them.

There are no CFB WRs that will swing three games.
The team just lost its most productive WR in 40 seasons, maybe ever. If Isaiah was back on the roster, Vegas isn't moving the win total from 5.5 to 8.5 (or 7.5, probably not 6.5). I get that Franklin is talented, but you need to be a generational skill player or an excellent QB to be in consideration to swing three games.

Agreed, outside of Pat Bryant, you're relying on unknowns and/or young guys to take a huge step. Maybe they'll throw to the TE's (Rusk) more?
Seems like splitting hairs, given that neither outcome is predictable. I’ll be content with either provided we play competitively without blowouts or foolish penalties. This isn’t Lake Wobegon, where every team is above average. We’re headed in a good direction, with engaging, competitive games. It’s been refreshing. Enjoy the ride.
A player like IW or Franklin won’t win us the game against Penn state. But they could be the difference in several of the toss up games. Look at the impact he had against Indiana and Minn. It’s refreshing that we are playing competitive football but we need to start winning more.
Was an admissions issue cleared up for a Lunney guy or is this something different entirely?
