This is what I was coming to say. I bet we have 10 guys on our roster who could long snap with a tiny bit of practice.
Not trying to minimize the skill to be a good long snapper, but it can be learned.
I’m not sure what you think NIL agreements have the power do? NIL agreements do not and cannot prevent a student athlete from transferring. It may void the agreement. But it’s not prevented.
You referenced us taking 3 Wiscy DLine transfers last year. Taking one player vs 'raiding' a unit is a pretty easy distinction to make.
So, yes to a successful individual from a bad unit and no thank you to raiding a significant portion of a worse line, particularly when we can't trust the current staff to coach them up.
They are all afraid that they will never sign another player if they enforce a contract.
I wonder if a starting QB under agreement leaving a school like Washington mid portal period might be a clearer case of actually damaging the school than one of many DL prospects leaving UGA?

Rooting for ISU at the end of the FCS championship game was a sad reminder of the many benefits of above-average special teams play. You need it when everything hangs in the balance.
Now that's some quality H2O....
Obviously we still need to add more but the portal class so far is very good.

I agree, I saw over the weekend that we were expecting a visit from a Miami (Hurricane) player. But he has at least another game to play. How does that get worked out? Especially since he may or may not want to join our team. Do we hold a spot, just in case? I would think not, unless a deal has already been agreed to. It appears to be a HUGE disadvantage for players still in the playoff.

I have recent game film against random garbage men, forklift drivers, and security guards from all around the Midwest lol
We need 2-3 difference makers on the defensive side of the ball still. If not 4 or 5.

Getting X back would be huge - I think it makes a ton of sense for him to come back if he's not going to be 100% for the combine and pre-draft process and right now he's projected as a 5th rounder. If he comes back and is first team all big ten and plays like he's capable, he will improve his draft stock and get paid a lot more cash than he will on someone's practice squad in the NFL
Tomiwa back would be great as well given he brings some interior pass rush to the DL

He deleted the post and BB mentioned in his press conference yesterday that there are a few players that entered that he’d welcome back. He’s likely one of them. So maybe not impossible he comes back.
