Syracuse- an orange and blue school trying to forge a stronger connection with a history that’s underrated by the general public - actually pulled it off (and ahead of its time, uniform trend-wise).
We fit that same description and did a bit of a hodgepodge that includes some numbers that wouldn’t look entirely out of place on Oregon’s uniform.

From the possible leaks/ conjecture, it's sounding a lot like 3 stripes on the shoulders.
Current unis aren't terrible- except for the number font. Will be disappointed if we're recyling the old cuse unis. Guess we'll find out soon. Seeing some more of the 3 stripe varieties- do like it on the sleeves-

I tend to agree. On-shoulder stripes often look like caps on the sleeveless jerseys. Over-shoulder provides consistency across cuts.
Surprised to say this but I'm ready to get rid of the orange pants altogether. I'd go with white pants at home and blue on the road.

Old school Broncos is a fantastic look - I know they won two SBs shortly after rebranding, but from a purely aesthetic standpoint, one of the more unfortunate uniform overhauls in all of pro sports.
I think the old school Broncos uniform is only a good comparison if we do get that orange throwback-ish uniform. The prior prediction said no orange uniform though so someone most likely off. It's possible they have a uniform that won't be ready but is available the following season I guess like in 2014.

I mean if they add the big wordmark to the front and that and the numbers use two fonts that totally clash with one another and have no basis in anything past or present that Illinois has ever worn, that will just be so baffling it will be hard to react to anything else. Like, I cannot imagine the process that would have went into something like that.
Alternatively, there are some indications that it's tracking toward a stitch-for-stitch exact replica of the current Syracuse uniforms, modeled on the internet by Tommy DeVito, which would be just really funny.
But mostly I feel like I need to see it to react, the devil is in the details with these things.
