aahhh, the wheels just came off a bit mid-round. 13-15 destroyed us +10 as a team and we lost by just a stroke. had to card two +1, that was the difference.

Solid effort but just not enough.

great tourney by Crawford, what a difference a week makes, and the pressure of playing in the top 5. Good for him!

I have no idea what the lineup for the fall finale will be. Herendeen and Buchanan seem to be safe bets. Hunt, Goecke, Crawford, Wilson, Voois and Ji. Need three, any guesses?

I’ll go Hunt, Voois and Crawford.

If he was just choosing his top 5 I think he goes with:Max/Jackson/Vois/Crawford/Goecke but I know how these situations work and there will be a qualifying process most likely. Almost all teams have ways you can secure your spot in the top 5 and then a series of qualifying for the remainder of the lineup. Particularly when you have a logjam at the backend. To be totally honest I have a team preparing for a state championship in golf and I am struggling with who to take as we speak, today is a qualifying 9hole match. College coaches almost universally save spots to keep practice competetive. So those last spots, at least one of them, will be a wild card.

Other matches are Auburn vs. Pepperdine, Arizona St vs. Stanford and Georgia Tech vs. Texas.

Illinois fell 2-1 to the Vols in foursomes. All close matches, with Buchanan/Wilson getting the win. Next up is Stanford in fourball, looks like the teams will remain the same.

Unfortunately they don't post updates until the matches are complete, so not much to follow along.

NCAA dumped Golfstat for Spikemark in 2023 and within a few weeks moved onto Clippd as their official scoring/ranking provider. Without the NCAA contract (and having their founder and his son die) Golfstat has been unable to compete. They still have a better platform than the mish mash of stuff used by schools now.

Interesting: Illini women at Nexus in Texas are being covered by Golfstat. Sorry to read about upheaval at Golfstat and deaths in the family. I too prefer their format. Miss the rankings. Wish Golfstat the best. Maybe they'll do men one of these days? Thanks to LeaderboardKing for scores at Hal Williams.

Nice lead heading into today, Was worried about after the first round with Ryan finishing poorly to give up a nice round in the making and Max off his game. Jerry and Timmy step in and carried the load and now Jackson and Max have sorted things out to get this team moving. Quality golf by these guys and a deep well rounded event for us so far.
