but its all wrapped into one player....if you are a basketball person you would know that's why all these schools like him so well....not counting his (best asset) his overall basketball IQ...

I have not seen Smith play but he shot .376 in HS from 3 pt and Lucas shot .375 at UI. Lucas didn't shoot as much but that was not his role. Cannot understand why you think Smith is so much better at shooting. His size makes him a much bigger scoring threat but not necessarily a better shooter.

Lucas misses shots badly sometimes. His percentage will likely go down next year unless he can fix his stroke. Mark Smith has great form and takes more shots. If he took the same amount as Lucas he would be above 40%. I do not have a preference for either player, but using their shooting percentage is not the best way to evaluate them.

Even if it was a non-traditional recruitment, beating out UK, Duke, MSU and OSU for your first commitment would certainly endear a coach to the Illini faithful. This would just be tremendous for the program and send a real message we are back

Sadly, I will be traveling, so I may not be able to participate in the potential GIF storm. I have to get my fill now, just in case.
