So hard numbers from full seasons worth of data are not what we should use to evaluate them AND we should assume that a player with year of experience to get adjusted to the speed of the game and stronger mentally and physically will shoot a worse percentage? Am I taking crazy pills?
It's not out of the realm of possibility that TJL's 3P% goes down, as both his usage% and contested fg% will go up. He didn't take many 3pt shots this season, and when he did, they tended to be pretty wide open. That won't be the case next season.

On the flip side, he was coming off a serious injury and wasn't cleared to practice with the team until just before the season started. This off season he'll be able to work on his game and that shooting form, so he may in fact improve there.

It's also not that uncommon with increased frequency of 3 point shots, much like free throws, he'll grow more comfortable and his percentage will go up. Hard to make 3 pointers at a high % when you shoot 1-2 a game.

I've ran the stats. He's not going to be Deron Williams but they're much closer to Deron Wiliams than alot of people would realize.

TJL/Mccamey/Williams is a pretty interesting side by side by side. Use conference for TJL where he actually got consistent minutes.

That's totally fair. My point was basically, just because they shot the same percentage from 3 doesn't mean they are equivalent 3 point shooters

If only there was a thread to discuss how we think players will perform in the 2017-2018 season... Shoot, I guess we'll have to do it here.

I have not seen Smith play but he shot .376 in HS from 3 pt and Lucas shot .375 at UI. Lucas didn't shoot as much but that was not his role. Cannot understand why you think Smith is so much better at shooting. His size makes him a much bigger scoring threat but not necessarily a better shooter.

Waitaminute, he shot MUCH better than that in the videos I saw... Not sure his stats are dependable.

TJL shot better in his videos also. Who is in charge of the stats?

If we can have only one, who is it Moore or Dusunmu? Assuming we have Smith.

I know people are sick of hearing about Tilmon, but is he a done deal to Missouri? Is there still time to entice him to Illinois if we get Smith...? Or is he going to go with Kansas? One wonders why say Illinois is still an option at all. Just ask for your release and be done with it, no?

Tilmon and Smith are pretty good friends. So while highly unlikely, it may not be impossible

Need a further discussion: who's got to be creaned for the spots?

Don't want to speculate bc I like all the kids on the team.

If BU landed everyone in that list I would assume he would make it work pretty easily. Especially being that they were his recruits.
