Reclassifying is a messy process but I'm sure his school is willing work with him. It's not like he just decides that he wants to graduate a year early. If he was expecting to return for another year then he must be missing some graduation requirements. Maybe Normal is letting him take some credit recovery courses but those usually take a few weeks to complete but he'd need to be careful to do well if he's concerned about getting a certain score on the ACT/SAT.

This is likely to get edited out, but nah. Also it is an English spelling. I have spent time there and the "ou" made its way into my grammar when I was an undergrad at the U of I...go figure.
How does Okoro attending prep schools in Tennessee, Mississippi and Las Vegas fit in all this??
Interesting regarding Miller that you failed to mention he played zhS hoops with both Da'Monte and Ayo. I kinda think that's a big pull for him.
I like our chances with Okoro, Miller and Whitney.
Liddell to a blue blood? Doubtful.
Okoro to a blue blood, but Oregon or Purdue will do? OK, I think we see where you're coming from on the pessimism highway.
Battle was s transfer. I think Bruce Douglas and Efrem was pretty darn good. Mcdaa game mvp and B10 player of the year as a freshman in Douglas. I think the were both 1st team all Americans in high school in Street n Smith back in the day!I don't know about best class ever, but it would rival the class of Battle,Anderson and Liberty. Also it would put the Illini back in the conversation for Big Ten Champs.:thumb:
Wow what a turn of events an Okoro commitment could be. But I am a firm believer that he will be a 1 and done, which means we would still need a C in the '19 class.
I'm not worried about these big classes right now, but it does make things very awkward. The roster make-up makes it pretty obvious that there will be 2 or 3 more transfers next year.
Alan Griffin finally ranked by 247sports as 341 in class of 2018.

This is one reason that after the first 25 or so who knows or cares once the season starts. The guys that are really good at tevaluating make 6 or 7 figures a year. Just look at Kendall Gill or other more recent examples. It's fun when they are very highly ranked but if not who cares what 247 thinks. After the top 15 or so it's a who really knows? The NCAA tournament and players coming out of no where show us each year how little that matters after a certain point I bet Griffin does well eventually. Let's just not expect too much from all our recruits too soon. I just hope one or two players surprise close to what TF did this year.Hard to believe being ranked #1 in NY state. How many stars does 341 equate to?

and that leaves us with back to back Mr. Basketballs transferring out.
Am I over-exaggerating Ayo's potential impact?

Questions: Is Okoro a starter this year?
Does he start at C instead of Ebo?
Do he and Ebo play together and Kipper moves to 3?
He is getting rave reviews but is he better than Ebo, Kane and GBez right now, particularly if the others come in June and he comes in Sept?
Yes, he starts. Yes, he is better than all 3 right now.
He is good, but Okoro will need to get into the system, I doubt he would be ready day 1. Maybe middle or later, but he would be a 4, maybe a 5 for spots. Still think Ebo will surprise us all, he is a soccer player too.
