Is it fair to say that in the board's collective estimation a successful recruiting class looks like this (assuming positional balance)?

One of: Tilmon, Malik Williams, Derek Culver, John, Uyaelumno

One of: Scruggs, Goodwin, Terrence Lewis

One or two of: any of the above, along with Eastern, Justin Smith, Frazier, Jarrett Culver, Negron, Jericho Sims, Verge, CJ Roberts, McKinley Wright

We made RaiQuan Gray's top 13! With a disclaimer, of course. :D

@Tgray4
Thank you to All 🙏🏾💯 But the list can change and schools can be added❗️ #Top13

Chris Payton had an unofficial visit...Looks like you'll need to open that barbershop after all.

Do we know for sure that they didn't both visit? Charles has visited before, and it wouldn't be surprising for brothers to visit a school together.

I'd personally want two bigs in this 6 man class. Tilmon and one other would be good in addition to a wing (Goodwin, Lewis, Smith, Eastern) and another PG (Scruggs, Frazier, Verge, McKinley).

Someone hinted the other day that Tilmon was set to release his top 5. Any word?

I'm thinking Jerry didn't see much EYBL this spring.

I don't think you're reading that correctly. Goodwin appears at number 77 just above Jordan Poole. Williams dropped to 114. Frazier is at 116, Lewis 108, Verge at 177. Check the others out, too.

Those are the composite numbers. The numbers I put down are Jerry's 247 numbers. At the top there are two columns to click on. One says 247 Composite, the other says Top 247. The last one is Jerry Meyer's personal list. The composite are Scouts, ESPNs, Rivals and 247's averaged out. Not sure if Rivals has put out a new list yet or not.

I meant the So. To be. I got first names screwed up. Kid looks athletic and a little more muscular than I would have guessed. Said he was playing his AAu ball up north. Tried to get a feel if he knew anything about 2017 targets but got nothing.

I guess that would still make some sense with others downgrading DaMonte. It would also blow my mind that Goodwin isn't one of the top 150 guys in the country.

So blessed and thankful for all the amazing schools that have recruited me. I have narrowed it down to 10

I don't remember if it was last summer, or 2 summers ago, but there was a PG from some school in the Chicago area who had announced that he won some sort of academic scholarship from the U of I and the talk of the board was that he was a good enough player to walk on the the mbb team. Does anyone remember who that was, or what happened to him? Did he decide to go play somewhere else on scholarship, or enroll at U of I and end his playing career? I know he wasn't considered an impact player or anything like that at the B1G, or even the D1 level, but bodies in practice never hurt, especially in a season like last year when we had serious PG depth issues.

Just curious is all.

OK, so Damonte struggled a bit on the AAU circuit and dropped in the rankings. Anyone know if Damonte tried to play PG and thus maybe why he struggled a bit? Or did he really not struggle that much? Or was he over-rated to begin with?

Thoughts from those in the know?

I still stick by what I have heard in that part of his inconsistency at Manual this year had a lot to do with Booth. No on around Peoria seems to respect the guy and thinks he takes no real control or accountability for his team. The second half of their semifinal game is a perfect example where multiple possessions Williams never touched the ball, and when he did there were no screens set for him or help from the offense. It looked like AAU hero ball from a lot of his teammates, 1 or 2 passes then a bad shot. Yet I've heard several scouts mention this game in their evaluations as part of why his rating dropped....

I think putting Williams with a solid coach who knows how to game plan for a PG will bring out his talents better, plus he won't be expected to do it all by himself in college
